We've just come back from Cyprus and have eaten in the Fernagin Tavern in Dherynia twice. Both times, we were very impressed - definitely the best mezze and served at the right pace; lamb and pork chops to die for. A warm welcome by the staff/family, food excellent both times and a great setting in an olive tree courtyard. We do highly recommend a visit.
We stayed in Protaras and had a hire car. The Fernagin Tavern was a 10 to 15 minute drive. A taxi would take you there as well and you can combine it with a visit to the view point of Famagusta.
