Didn't realise the flight would be so long time wise, plane was fine, drinks cost inconsistant but hey we were on holiday so we put up with that one, the drop down in Turkey was a pain and put an extra 2 hours on the day so day 1 of the 7 day holiday was writen off. The baggage control in Cypress was brill compared with the shambles at the more experianced Manchester airport. Met the rep on the bus, nice guy but the meet was brief, not much better the following day when he was delayed due to extensive road alterations outside the hotel, after that we didn't see him again until the last night when he popped in to give us the return times..
The room we were given was at the far end of the complex, it was clean and adequate but not suitable for my wife who has difficulty walking, I did ask for a change but was advised that the hotel was full and that maybe they could look at this later in the week. At that point we gave in, after all a week isn't so long ? I guess you pays your money and takes your chance. Well yes the holiday was a reasonable cost, we didn't come expecting 5 star service but we did expect value for money. We got, reasonable food, very much the same each evening, I compliment the chief because I believe he was working to a very tight budget and struggling, but nevertheless the variety was pretty poor, there wasn't even ice cream on offer..
There was no entertainment, unless you count the anics of the resident kitten / cat who pestered the life out of the guests.
The hotel lacked any kind of personality, come 9pm most of the guests had gone to bed, probably out of despair. We were promissed a Turkish night and a Barbeque during the week, still waiting on that one I'm afraid.
We hired a car which proved to be the best move we made during the week, it at least gave us a chance to get away and see some of the surrounding land, but I would say be carefull, one of the guests had a brakedown which I understand became a bit of a shambles
I would love to say this was a fanatstic holiday, but it wasn't, the beach was in very poor condition, the beach beds were in the most cases broken, the pool was unkempt, the weather indifferent, in short pretty poor overall.
Add to the fact that we had to get up for a 4.30am collection for the trip to the airport only to get to the next hotel pickup point before the bus broke down and had to wait an hour for a replacement bus.
And as a footnote, some 20+ people on our flight had to be flown to Stanstead and bused back to manchester because the airline had over booked
Sad to say i will not be making a return visit any time soon

Room Tip: Go for the sea front, they look to be the best options, shbower probably stilloverflows

Flight there and back rough pack your sandwich box NO really mean it.
Went with a friend and have to say after mix p of rooms from double bed to 2 singles quickly changed, and over looking the pool, accomadation was lovely air con worked a treat.
Food: very bland and same most of the time (don't take your kids/teenagers) ASK they do seem to be able to cook something if your not happy.
Thanks to the indian lady staying there who went to loca; market, came back took over the kitchen and cooked a lovely curry for as may as she could.
Entertainment None (take some cd's) but for us nice not to have it.
Local: Nothing you need a car, we waited for local bus that did not arrive but a very friendly english speaking lady stopped and took us into Famagusta town she was lovely and said she picks up women and children if she can help, and also she gave us some good history of the war.
Beach ok'ish but need more sunbeds and def umbrellas.
REP: Not good, dont go on the boat trip if you think it will stop at a beach,it did'nt and not being a good swimmer had to spend the whole day on the boat, but have to say meal on boat was good.

Perfect for a quite chillin holiday, met some lovely people and did enjoy the holiday
all in all price paid with TravelZoo was about right. Did have a lovely time.

Tips:
Def need a car and they drive on the english side, locals very helpful.
Take a supply of teabags and ASK if no kettle in your room.
Grab some nibbles if you need them as no local shop in walking distance.
Don't be afraid to ask very good english speaking manager who was more than happy to help.

Room Tip: We had over looking pool 214 nice location and very nice room, shower tray leaked but not a problem...

Agree with most things said in previous reports. Beach front villa's are the best and worth paying extra for. Food is awful unless you like salad and Mash that you need to eat with a spoon (it ran thru a fork).
The place is tired but if you as long as you get the Travel Zoo rate it is value for money.I would have been very unhappy if I had paid full rate. We asked a staff member from the London office who was visiting, why the pool bar was advertised his reply was that they advertised the bar but ''never said it was open''!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't expect cocktails at the bar unless you force the issue, the barman is not the most jovial Cypriot in TRNC.
You need a car it a long way from anything.
By the way the accountant from London (Staff) told us that Trip Advisor was a waste of time and people who used it were moaners and faults within the hotel were the fault of the agents ????.
I for one will not be going back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Pay extra for beach front.

My partner and I returned yesterday from a weeks stay at this resort. The accommodation is, on the whole, ok. but very varied ranging from unacceptable to very nice. (totally 'luck of the draw'. - A complaint will get you a room change when one next becomes available and I assume this is how they get away with the sub-standard rooms) Our first room was tiny with no hot water and a smell of sewage, the source of which was the washbasin. We had to put up with this for 3 nights before being allocated a beach-front chalet which was lovely.
The resort is very nicely situated and, due to meeting some lovely people, we had a great time but there is definately room for improvement, see below:
1) The bar opens at 10am as stated but closes at 12pm (not 2am as stated by 'Cyprus Paradise') and the beer, served by a very rude barman, is barely drinkable and ooccasions you have to fight to get it seved in a glass as he will try to give you a paper cup to save him washing up.
2) The poolbar is closed and it would seem, from other comments on this site, that it has been closed since mid-August at least.
3) The resort website advertises 'ample sun-loungers' but this is a myth as there are nowhere near enough.
4) The food is not good and very repetitive and you need to be there early if you want any sort of choice at all. One night the meal was practically inedible: The liquid mashed potato will remain in our memory for a long time to come.
5) 5 star it is not. I'd call it 2/3 star and less for the food.

In summary: It is possible to have a good time and the some of the staff are delightful (look out for 'Genna' who is very helpful and friendly). Let's face it, in the right company you can't go wrong and we were fortunate to meet some of the best. We ate out a few times to avoid the prison food and we used the hire car to escape frequently. Neither us, or any of the people we met would dream of returning but....... if you have already booked, good luck, if you haven't I suggest you don't.

Room Tip: The only choice you have is to pay extra for a beach-front room. Avoid 319.

We have just returned from Long Beach and I cannot believe the complaints people were making about this hotel. We paid £360 which included flights (inc. meal) transfers and all inclusive for 7 nights. The staff were so friendly to us even to the fact that one of the cleaners picked us figs from a tree. The bar man was upset because I only wanted small measures of drink. Ok the food was turkish (which is where we were) and there was no pork (muslim country) but it was plentiful, fresh and I never went hungry. I have never had such a chilled, relaxed holiday ever. The pool had cleaner in it every day and just because it didnt hurt your eyes with chlorine it wasnt satifactory for some people. We were in the pool everyday. We always had sunbeds no bother. The rooms were spotless and beds comfy. I dont really know what people expect for the money but would suggest they pay for 5* next time. We loved it and thanks to all the staff who even got up at 3am to make sure we had breakfast and coffee before we left.

Well this is our last day here so this review is fresh off the press. Completely concur with previous comment regarding the flight, Onur Air is the worst airline I have ever travelled with in terms of space, sat unable to move for six hours not even enough room to recline the chair unless you want to squash the person behind.
Hotel is very basic, we had beach front villa which was ok and clean, holiday rep asked everyone on first day what their room number was and what was wrong with the room as the opening to the morning meeting! We said our shower was hanging off the wall and shower door broken, but nothing was ever done to repair it!. The whole complex is very tired though and certainly seen better days. Bit worried about the hygiene of the pool, long over due for a clean and no trace of chlorine. Would have been nice for enough sun beds to go round and even better for them not to be broken! Food was ok, got very boring after a couple days, salad, salad and more salad with beans, beans beans! Staff friendly, this holiday is what you make it, five star it is not, but a cheap break in the sun and no tourism it is great, would have been good for local dogs not to bark all night but that really is outside of the hotels control!

If you want a relaxing hotel this is the place for you. Each guest gets a lodge type accomodation, very clean, fresh towels etc and the room cleaned every day also the shower and bathroom good. When it says all inclusive that's what you get "Can recomend the red wine." The food is basic and plenty of it also freshly prepared. The beach is right in front of the lodges some almost on the sandy beach. for swimming better to go 200 yda to the left of the complex to avoid the rocks. The staff were great, very friendly and helpfull had some lovely chats. We hired a car for a £100 for 5 days, which is a must if you want shops, scenary and historic sights which we did, everywhere in the North very accesible not much traffic on the roads and the petrol cheap, They also drive on the left hand side. The pool very spacious and clean, although the pool shower area could have done with a clean from black mold. The rep for the holiday not a great deal of helpI didn't think he was up to the job, he got our return flights mixed up, all in all a super holiday, thanks. P.S. I miss the warm sunshine.

Room Tip: Ask when you book for a beach side lodge if available
