“wonderfull sea-terrible management”
Reviewed October 2, 2013 via mobile

sea and beach is perfect but;
-air condition of restaurant didnt work sometimes
-renovated rooms look like old from now
-ceramic in the aquapark pool caused a deep scratch at my foot
-Shade canopy metal feet are all rusted and sharp corners which can be very dangeorus. these canopies are 6 month old.
- it rained and there were leaks in every ceiling in common areas ( restaurant - indoor pool)
- turkish bath and sauna was not working properly
-mini clup was very dirty and tidy, its not possible to left a child such that place.
Animations were good enough.
we enjoy at the sea and the aquapark but the rest was not like a quality managed resort..

I have spent 3 nights at the Hotel and from the beginning things went wrong. Rooms are EXTREMELY dirty. Wallpapers on the wall are torn and look real bad. No WI-FI connection except the main bulding. That means you have to climb a 35 degree slope to the main bulding every single time when the internet connection is needed.

I warned the hotel workers many times on delays and mean behaviors. However you will see that they are not going to care what you are saying. It was truely a DISASTER to stay at this Hotel. You are not going to get what you payed for and totally regret about it.

After all, I decided to talk to the Customer Relation Service, no result has been taken anyway.

In my whole life, I spent quite a bit time at hundreds of different Hotels and NEVER seen this kind of awful service.

By the way, I told the Customer Relation Service that I will make comments about their attitude against me on the internet and She was also very comfortable about it.

Do not waste your money because you are staying at a low cost!

Room Tip: If you do not stay in the main building, you will write lots of bad things about the hotel either!

We were staying in villas in the beautiful garden. Large room with sitting area, balcony or terrace, TV, minibar, air conditioning, spacious bathroom with hairdryer, shower and toilet. Safe in the room for free. Cleaning every day also have minibar. Food- a huge selection. Delicious!
The hotel is only one small supermarket near the rest place for taxi, where you can really find just the basics. No souvenirs you can not find. The waterpark site is really great. Discard here both children and adults. Beach beautiful, clean. Plenty of sun beds. Beach volleyball and soccer. Two beach bars, one in the all inclusive. Huge pool, also plenty of chairs. Also poolside bars - the only one is in the all inclusive.
The staff is a nice, unobtrusive and helpful. In the afternoon, entertainment programs - sports. Evening programs in the amphitheater by animators - great.
We really liked this hotel. Beautiful area, full of all sorts of services.
Only one thing which can be improved - we didnt find post-cards anywhere. But its a small thing. For the beauty and relaxation it really worth it! I would like to have returned to this hotel.

Room Tip: Take a village, not the rooms in a main building. The villages are near the sea and restaurant! Bloc...

We was gonna stay at the Salamis Bay, but when we arrived the lady from the TAURUS agency told us that hotel was full and they will take us an other hotel, wich was a Kaya Artemis. First I got worreid, because we booked a double villa for two adults and 3 kids at the Salamis and usually hotels don't have too much room, suites for big familys. When we arrived to the hotel, we saw is it a much better than the Salamis but as I thought they did not want to give us a room what we booked. They wanted to put us in a standard double room. Can anyone imagne what did we feel? We paid for a big family room for 5 people and they want to give us a room for two people. I know it wasn' t the hotel's fault the agency made a mistake. So we spend 2 ours at the reception in the middle of the night with 3 little kids, because the TAURUS agency did not want to let us in a room for 5 people. First of all I have to say a BIG THANKS for the lady at the reception. She was very helpful and nice with us all week. Finally we got a huge suite with 2 bathrooms, 5 beds, big enough place just right on the beach. There were little problems with a room like one door was broken but we did not care because we knew this was a so much better hotel than the Salamis. The garden is beautifull, a pool is nice and huge, the food is fantastic. We ate shusi, hungarian gulyás, kebab, italian pasta, a lot of kind of sea food and so much grilled vegetables, the cakes were delicious and looked gorgeous. There were a lot of kind of food, you could'n even choose. The best thing was an aqua park. Our kids loved the slide and we also. The beach is nice and crystal clean. What we didn't like is a beach bar. :( It was like cheap pub without any snack the server were rude and impolite. I would suggest to give ice cream in ALL INCLUSIVE at least once a day!!!Ohhh and the other thing we could not find the price list of the mini bar so at the and of our holiday we paid 115 Euros for ice cream ( which was extra!) and things from the mini bar.
it is true the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but our favourite lady from the reception ordered a taxi for us and we took a trip to the Andreas Monastery and the Golden beach. It was faboulos. We paid 100 euro for a taxi driver, who was nice with us. Me and my husbandsped a good time at the casino of the hotel too. We didn't win but we had fun! :) The animation group were frendly the night's shows were funny the kids loved it. We have nice family photos what the holtel's photographer made. It was expenive, but you you need too haggle with the gay over the price. ;) So we rally liked North Cyprus and a hotel. It was a wonderful holiday!

Room Tip: Our room was in the block 12, in room 2238. It was a huge two storied room with 2 nice bathroom so b...

We spent at Kaya Artemis 10 nights (20 - 30. August 2013). We really enjoyed our stay there. And by the way, for the first time in our lives we visited CASINO (and spent there 50 EUROs :-)). The resort is beautiful. Its main benefit is amazing beach and crystal clear sea. There are many activities you can take part in as the Kaya Artemis animation team is almost-professional!

RESORT - amazing! We really fell in love with! (The only one disadvantage is that there is just one small shop with enormous high prices.)

ROOMS - in the village quite spacious and nice, relatively clean (although the house keeping was a bit poor, once - missing big towels, other time small towels...)

SEA and BEACH - wonderful! And you don´t have to pay an extra fee for a towel and sunbed!

FOOD - there was a great variety of food (but honestly, after one week it could be a bit boring...). "Light all inclusive" system wasn´t a big problem. You can take drinks at 2 bars (pool and beach). On the other side, we bought probably the most expensive icecream Magnum - in Cyprus there! (3,50 EUROs / one). The same one costs 1,20 EURO in Girne.

The end of our stay wasn´t very nice, as the resort was full of employees of the company AstraZeneca (they organized some conferences there). The restaurant was overcrowded by maybe two or three hundreds of them. Their private noisy good-bye party (with a long-lasting night disco and fireworks) at Temple Beach Bar was the most unpleasant experience of our stay at Kaya.

Anyway, Kaya Artemis is a great place to visit and we would recommend it for a wonderful holiday! For sure, we will go there some time again!

P.S. If there is a hotel manager, who reads these reviews, we would recommend him/her to change the staff of the pool bar. Those guys (Umut and the second one, whose name we forgot) weren´t very kind and helpful... It would be a miracle to see a smile on their faces!

We have been in this hotel on first week of August 2013. It looks very beautiful and impressive from photos on hotel website. W stay at block 1. the room, in first floor was dirty with spiders and other insects around the room and bathroom. the door and mirrors of the bathroom were broken and everything looks very dirty. it was very noisy due to the working at the neighbor hotel. the food at the restaurant was good but it was exactly the same everyday so at the end of the week there were not too much choices.
the swimming pool was dirty and it looks that was never clean during the summer. the sea was to much cleaner than the swimming pool.
The animation group and the shows during night were like something to be done and checked but with no quality and organised by non professional. And it was the first time that happened to us to see an hotel without animation (Monday was off for all).
the pool bar that it was supposed to effort all the work during the day, has in use some plastic glasses which after a period of usefulness were dirty and almost crashed.
we have to kids, 5 and 7 years old. we went to the kids club where some young girls have conversations with each other and they just don't care about the children, even they were in charge to take care and to pleasant the children
The aqua park was great.
The sea and the sand were fantastic.

Room Tip: I could recommend Turkey hotels which are to much better in quality and standards for everyone who l...

I spent 1 week in the resort with my familiy (2 kids 5 and 10) at the end of August (20-27). The resort itself looks quite impressive, but... Rooms in the main buliding are spacious enough for two, max three (1 kid) but absolutely not for 2 adults and two kids. The carpets are dirty and the rooms smell of cigarettes. If your room is facing the tennis courts, you will hear the noise from the cooling towers (equals the airport noise). Once the toilet stopped swallowing and we reported it at the reception. we went away for a whole day trip in a car, but when we came back, the bathroom was flodded and the toilet wasn't fixed. After literally screaming at the reception, the genitor came (and aftewards manager) and fixed the bathroom. The staff rarley spek English, probably because the majority of the guests is Turkish. The food is good, but the dishes repeat every day (with the exception of one special evening). The waiters wear dirty outfits and the tables usually remain dirty all day long. Always check your cuttlery and glasses!! Apart from the above, the beach is perfect, long, sandy and the water is clear. The pool is very large but a lot of turkish music all day long. the water sliodes are a paradise for children, also the adults have fun and the guards are very kind with the kids. So, don't expect much from the hotel and don't forget to explore the island. Renting a car is a must, although there is only one agency in Bafra, which charges double the price (40 € per day for Fiesta). The resort is in the middle of nowhere (whic has it's positive sides), but when you want to escape the resort, you have three options (rent a car, taxi (40 € one way to Famagusta) or a shuttle 40 € for the return ticket for four (kids pay the same, leaving at eleven and going back at 16:00). I wouldn't go back.
