“Dont waste your money on bottled water here!”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Food here is great, nothing to say about that. But it is quite worrying that I could see a lady behind the bar with a set of pliers un crimping bottle tops with a view to reusing the. Behind the bar there were a number of branded bottles of water which were open and full, just awaiting a new bottle top to be added for them to be sold and portrayed as the real thing I guess. A real let down and illegal if I'm not mistaken!

“Not your typical portuguese place but great food!”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Try the flamming shrimps! ours weren't really flamming but the fries and the bread soaked in the garlic butter was to die for. You need to run a marathon to burn it all after but definitely worth it!

“Great for what it is”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

A few caveats before you visit:

- After visiting Portugal I can say this isn't really representative of true Portuguese cuisine. At least not what we encountered in Porto. It's a Portuguese twist on traditional staples (meat and shrimp).
- You don't eat here when you're on a diet.
- You're paying for a show as much as you are for the shrimp

I've gone a couple times now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the kind of place I'd go once or twice a year - especially when we have visitors in town. The look on everyone's face when the flaming shrimp come out is great - and even better when they see how large they are.

I think the shrimp are delicious, and I like the simple presentation - bread, salad, super garlicky/buttery shrimp, done. The last time we ordered one steak (horse) and one order of shrimp. It was the perfect surf-and-turf combo, and the steak was superbly cooked. I was a little scared when the steak came out covered in some sauce, but it wasn't overpowering or greasy. We'll definitely do this each time we go back.

Lots of reasonably priced wines, friendly/attentive staff and it's super casual. A great start to an evening out.

“Flaming Gambas and chips”
Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

A little pricey but a reliable favorite in Luxembourg. The dressing for the salad to start is delicious and the flaming prawns are very nice, just don't be breathing on too many people afterwards. The house wine is reasonable for the price and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

“Shrimps and garlic”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

best place in Luxembourg to get your shrimps and garlic. Remember to reserve a table in advance, as the place is normally quite crowded.
