As with most military cemeteries, this one provides a time to pause and reflect on how lucky we are to be alive and how much others have sacrificed. Peaceful and serene.

The Cemetary was beautiful, the sun was shining and the sky was blue, looking down upon all the crosse's in long row's it brought tears to my eyes, all the lives lost and all the young men who never made it home.
Reading the inscriptions on the memorials was a tribute to all who gave everything to help fight for freedom.
The visitors Building has information for people to read and a map if you are looking for the Grave
of a Family Member or Friend.
The bells chimed at 12.00 mid day and then played "Swing Low Sweet Chariot".. A fitting tune for a final resting place..

One can't help be both impressed and moved this beautiful memorial and resting place for so many. The memorial itself is visually stunning and the rows of crosses and Jewish stars is mesmerising. The horrors of war hit the adults when looking at the ages of the servicemen killed in action here....a vast contrast to the kids wandering bissfully through the rows.

There are two large depictions of the European and Pacific theatres with summaries of the events of WW2...very well done.

One leaves both moved, sombre and proud / thankful for the Americans' sacrifice to keep Europe free.

Also impressive is the German cemetery located not too far away. The tragedy of so many young men killed is starkly visible there as well. Worth a visit.

You can't help but be moved by this beautiful resting place for so many. The memorial is stunning and a gentle reminder of the sacrifice so many give for our country. It is a must visit.

This is a beautiful and well maintained cemetery, with nice memorials and fountains surrounding the graves of the servicemen. It was nice to see Patton's grave, with the unique position of facing his men. I am glad the government shut down ended the week before I arrived. I was amazed to find out it was closed while the US Govt had the shutdown. It would have been a shame to miss this.
