Parc Beaux-Arts Hotel Luxembourg
Ranked #24 of 49 Hotels in Luxembourg City

We absolutely loved Parc Beaux-Arts. Perfect location, super warm and welcoming staff and perfect location. Right around the corner from the Palace. The rooms are also quite large and feel like a two room suite. Excellent restoration of beautiful old building. For those that complained for noise from restaurant/bar downstairs, not sure that is a big deal as Luxembourg is a compact city and hearing outside news is to be expected (unless you want to stay in a big box place outside of the old city) and why not go down and get a drink and join the noise. The wine at the place downstairs is quite good:)

We will return next time in Luxembourg.

If sleep is not one of the elements you look for in a hotel then maybe this one will be perfect for you.

Unfortunately I saw the comments re noise at this hotel only after making the booking and being locked into going there on a non-refundable deal.

The positives: nice building, well converted, very central, quite good breakfast, interesting art in rooms etc.

The BIG NEGATIVE: I contacted the hotel before arrival and asked for a quiet room - we were allocated I believe the quietest room they have at the top / back of the property. Our stay was on a Sunday night so I hoped not party night. The hotel does not have air conditioning so you must have the windows open if you aren't going to expire with heat. The noise from the bar "The Tube" is intolerable way into the early hours combined with street noise from this busy part of town / aircraft taking off and flying over from about 6am etc etc.

The bottom line is that in my opinion this is not fit for purpose as a hotel. It either needs better sound insulation and air conditioning or a change of use to nightclub.

Room Tip: No room is quiet!

We stayed here after being unable to find any reasonably priced hotels in the old city. That said, to stay in the old city you have to pay an arm and a leg. Based on the reviews on trip advisor, we decided to go with this one.

We stayed 3 nights early in the week and received a very spacious top floor room that faced away from the street. The room had a large tub, no mini-fridge or iron. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the city. The bed was comfy and we were provided with full amenities when we arrived. There is also a laptop provided in the room for internet usage and there is also free wi-fi.

We didn't try the breakfast, it was 25 euros pp or 11 euros pp for a continental breakfast. Both we thought were overpriced. We ate breakfast at the Chocolate House in front of the Duke's Palace, which was super affordable and provided good food.

Since the bathroom had a tub, there was no shower curtain. As a result, the bathroom was soaking wet after every shower. Each day, the maids cleaned well, however they did not replenish the amenities. This was a bit of a disappointment given the high charge for the room.

Given that we stayed early in the week, we expected the noise levels not too be a big issue, however we were totally wrong. I cannot imagine what a weekend would be like. The bar patrons were yelling in the street at 2 am and wouldn't stop. On top of that, the street cleaners and garbage collectors begin their day at 5:30 am with a lot of noise as well.

All in all, good location and easy to walk to key places in the city, but the noise levels are an issue as is the nightly room rate. We wouldn't stay here again given the high cost and little sleep.

Unless you are going to go night clubbing during you stay do not stay at this hotel as the noise level is very loud. During the day it is a beautiful part of town but at night lots of people party around the streets. The staff do not make you aware of this which is not good.Their rate during the week is ridiculous but is quite reasonable on the weekend, now I know why!!! I booked it because of a review in Lonely Planet but should have read "trip advisor" as others have complained about the noise. The manager offers a free 2 hour city walking tour which we took adavantage of which was great.(only on Saturdays).

The hotel is right in the middle of historic Louxembourg really near The Guillaume Square and other sights. It is clean and ver cozy. Bed in confortable and the bathroom is good but in my suit the bathtube was a bit odd shaped to be used properly. Robe and slippers are available.
Everything is clean and there is a laptop available as there is cable and wi-fi availibility too (in my case included in the reservation, but i can assume it is free for every guest). Breakfast is expensive (25 euros). One caveat in the hotel location is that there are bars all around the hotel and people drink in the streets all night long. So, noise is a huge issue here. As my room was facing the street, it was almost impossible to sleep early. Music and screaming were still on until 4:00. Another issue is getting from the train station to the hotel. It is a fairly good distance to walk with luggage, specially in coblestone streets. And taxi drivers did not want to accept the ride because the fare would be too low!

I booked Parc Beaux-Arts because of its central location, and was no disappointed. Many cultural and historic buildings are all within walking distance. There are some lovely boutique shops close by, and several pedestrian areas and squares - good with be near with a lively child.

We stayed in a suite on the top floor. Very comfortable, good layout and tastefully furnished. There was a laptop in the room with a fairly good connection (not the fastest but adequate). No tea/coffee facilities in the room - something I missed especially as I needed hot water to heat the milk for my son etc. Plus when with a small child it is always easy to nip down for a coffee (3 euros in the hotel).

I am not sure if this was due to Euro 2012 football events but the noise was an issue. There is a bar across the road (Tube) which is open till very late, and people were standing outside sometimes till 4am. Noise is not a problem for me, but if you are looking for a really quiet location this is not the one.

We did not have breakfast in the hotel. I found out it would cost 25 euros per person. Not a good value, in my opinion, especially as there are so many cafes near by, with excellent food offer.

Staff were friendly and I would stay here aqain.

I rated our stay as mediocre because we were given a room that faces the a bar. Luckily, our stay was on weekday, hence the noise, though loud, was bearable. Even on a weekday, several people drank and sang outside the bar and sat along the pedestrian walkway, making it very noisy. As it was on a weekday, everything quiet down by 10 and it was quiet then.
The service was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff all around. Excellent breakfast, good coffee, freshly squeezed juice served with a smile!
