Take this walk. Just do it. It's not that long, it's free, the views are beautiful and really, it's one of the more fascinating things to do in Luxembourg city. My mom and I did it, moving at a leisurely pace, stopping to take pictures and read the signs. We completed the whole thing in less than an hour.

The Corniche winds it's way around the upper portion of the city, but allows you a magnificent view across the older, lower part of the city. It also accesses the old walls and gates of the original ancient city. The gates themselves date back over 1,000 years to 963. And seeing old stuff is always fun, especially for Americans, who don't have many things dating back before 1963.

We did not have the time to go to the lower city, but we really enjoyed seeing it from the Corniche's vantage point. I totally recommend this walk.

A must when walking in the centre of Luxembourg. From here you get the best views over the lower part of the town. At the end, there is a elevator, so you can easily visit the lower part as well.

This stroll was the best thing I experienced in Luxembourg. It is a walk loaded with scenery. It is as if the urban side of the city went hand in hand with its gorge and geological formation. Not to be missed.

We had a day trip to Luxembourg from Brussels. I never regretted booking this trip. Really interesting place. The only downside of this is that I saw a lot of elderly people struggling of walk on the steps. Step are steep and roads goes up and down .People with poor mobility can just enjoy the city and probably take photo from below. This is only for those with good knees and legs. Otherwise enjoy your time shopping.
