Good and front of gare de Luxembourg. Super convenient. Rooms are good. May be bit expensive. but rooms are kind of sound proof. Rooms are spacious. Service is good. Breakfast I. included in the rent. Nice eating area. Breakfast is Good for the price u pay as rent. I recommed this.

As I see other reviewers say, the position is very good if you're travelling by train or bus, and it isn't far from the city centre. You get a good, clean room at a fair price with a useful locker facility to leave your luggage after you've checked out. The negatives are a) that it looks pretty unprepossessing from the outside, b) that breakfast's very plasticky, c) that one of the receptionists is insolent. I'd stay there again, except on a winter weekend, when a night at the the Hilton's only about 10€ more, and includes a shuttle to the airport.

Right across the street from the train station and main bus terminal for the country. As one review states, the city is boring. Suggestion depending on the length of your stay, see the city, especially the church in the cliff if it is open and then catch the train to some of the outlying areas. Went to 3 other towns on the train and bus and gives you a much better idea of what this country is about and especially its history.

Good things:
Nice location
Free wifi
Tasty breakfast
Clean rooms
Friendly personnell

It is quite a good place to stay for a night or two for a city trip.

No negetive comments, price-quality is ok.

Everything was ok, except for the city itself, which is beautyful but without any life.
Very boring, empty streets, empty bars...

You leave the main train station, look across the street to the left and you see the sign. I was in the process of asking the location and saw the sign. The hotel had clean small rooms and excellent service. Even after I checked out they keep my bag till that afternoon. The breakfast buffet that was included was excellent. The price of the room was also good.

Convenient location across from the main train station. Comfortable and clean room, although not particularly large. Nice breakfast. The old city center and the lower part of town (the "Grund") are within a very feasible 15-20 minute walk. Free wifi internet was available. Very reasonably priced and a good value.

We booked here for a night, and a half day to look round Luxembourg(ive been here many times but my wife hadnt). The hotel was extremely easy to find, being on the main road right opposite the main train station, and a large hotel sign also making it easy to locate. We even managed to get a parking space in the side road, just 10 metres from the hotel entrance, and free after 6pm.
Check in was a slight problem,as there was a mix up with payment, however this was to our advantage, because we got a better room than we expected. On the 3rd floor(with a lift) we entered a very clean, reasonably sized room with a also very clean bathroom. And an english channel on the tv! Beds were comfortable and a good sleep was had.You can sometimes here the train loudspeaker announcements from the open window, but it wasnt obtrusive, and as it was a bit chilly anyway,we closed the window.
Its about a 20-30 minute walk, slightly uphill to the old city centre and main attractions, and a very busy road with buses seemingly doing 100mph,and inches from the pavement! A better walk is to bear to the right and over the viaduct to the centre!
Breakfast was ok,typically french, but with a view across to the station and large windows.Ours had a ill fitting section,as they are original, and a strong draught made us move to another table.
In all,the Empire was better than we had expected, some reports of dirty rooms had a cause for concern, but ours was very clean. Staff were good and friendly and willing to talk. Reccomended.
