Reservations are a must. I made mine online and did not get a confirmation. Hotel concierge called to confirm for me and restaurant claimed they were full and did not get my reservation. He pressed them and they agreed to seat us. That hurdle overcome the rest of our experience was rather good.
The restaurant ambience is very nice. I was warned it can be loud but did not find that to the case when I dined there.
Staff was quite friendly, no complaints.
Food was good. We ordered some chicken yakitori for the kids--they were happy. Miso soup was also good. I picked up a tonkatsu-maki off the sushi train that was a delightful surprise. I also liked that their sushi train dishes were typically three pieces. These small plates make it possible to try many different things.
The reviews indicate that their service and food can be inconsistent--but my experience was quite good.
