Enjoyed a 3 course meal for 35 euro on a lovely terrace. The wine was reasonable, the food was pretty decent, the only thing that myself and my friends didn't really enjoy was the Gorgonzola mousse for dessert...a really strange taste and consistency, better sticking to the sweet dessert.

We had a dinner on the terrace, which is nice. However, it is very close to the railway line and trains are come and go every 15 minutes; The service could be better and the food is disapointing. It is not bad, but it is not very tasteful;

My wife and I went there on the advice of a local walking tour leader, who had steered us right for lunch earlier. It was outside the old city, but we were told it was good and had nice views.

We couldn't have been more satisfied. I had lobster, passing on the whole roasted lobster for a lobster-vegetable-houmus combination. It was superb. Tasty portions, "just right" sized. Several different vegetables; when one mixed and matched the vegetables with the lobster, potato fried filaments, and humus, the taste combinations were superb and interesting. My wife had veal from the 35 Euro menu. Perfectly done, nicely presented, and more food than she could eat.

Desert, a cheese dish and molten chocolate cake in spearmint ice cream were wonderful, the latter off the charts.

The walk back to the hotel ad twilight was a perfect was to end the evening. Walking over the
Bock street bridge on the way back, we had to stop repeatedly to look at the views.

An evening well spent.

A local friend of mine took me to this restaurant.
When we arrived at 8pm, there were a lot of people having drinks in front of the entrance and the place looked promising.
Our table was on the terrace but totally devoid of any view whatsoever because of the thick bamboo tree hedge.
While we ordered an aperitif a little after we were seated, presumably because the outside seating area was still quite empty at this point, things got slower and slower from that point onward.
It took them a good half an hour to come to us to take our order for food, then took another half an hour to actually deliver the starter.
Some of our fellow diners seemed to have consumed three bottles of wine before any food arrived.
Admittedly, our starters and main courses, which were mainly composed of white asparagus, were fresh and tasted good, however, it was almost 11pm when we ordered our pudding.
At around a quarter past eleven, we decided to cancel our pudding (although mine was part of the set menu) and asked for the bill.
It turned out that there was a big wine-tasting dinner going on with a world-famous sommelier at the venue and the place was seriously understaffed on that particular evening.
I therefore hope that our experience that night was an exception. However, all the waiting staff (apparently all-French, everyone pencil thin and very good looking) looked and behaved as though they were more interested in how beautiful they looked than whether customers were enjoying themselves.
In retrospect, this place might be one of those places where you go to see and to be seen, not actually to eat.

One of the oldest restaurant in Luxembourg is also one of the most beautiful. Good food and a great ambiance.
