I am coming to the brasserie almost once a week and can certify that the reviews complaining about the service are wide off the mark. The service is not outstanding, and neither outstandingly fast, but certainly above average, and we never had a major problem neither with the service nor with the food. The day's dishes are somewhat more expensive than in the neighbourhood, but the food is certainly more original and more varied than in most places. So this is a recommendable contemporary "plat-du-jour"-restaurant.

I go to restaurants quite often and never in my life have I experienced anything similar to what I had to face today in this restaurant. I must admit that the place is nice in terms of its location and the terrace itself, but the service was beyond my imagination.
Firstly, there was no restaurant table available so they sat us (4 ladies with two baby strollers) at the coffee table and said we had to wait. Drinks were not offered though it was very warm and sunny and even the table at which we were seated was not cleaned after the previous customers. After 30 minutes I went over to ask for the menus thinking we could decide on what to eat when the table becomes available. There was no one to to respond to my request so I had to help myself with the menus. Later we asked one waiter to come and take an order for drinks, but he said he would call his colleague to take this order, no one came for another 15 min. After 45 min of waiting in the sun, a waiter came to clean the table and he spilled soem half glass leftover chocolate drink on my friend ... One of us went again to ask for some service (we saw that other people who came after us were being served already ...!) Our drinks finally came and we could order the food, we got the table now as well. I asked the waiter if we would have to wait long for the food (hoping it would be quick after all the wait we had experienced so far) and he said that if we don't have time we should have stayed at home instead of going to a restaurant. I couldn't believe to hear that! I would rather expect some apology, or at least a polite answer...
The food was good, I admit, but service was slow again. When we asked for the bill it included something we didn't order. I don't know really what is wrong with those people???!!!!!!!!! Neither me nor my friends will never go back to that place. I am so upset that I wrote this review, which I normally never do.

This restaurant is close by the Grand Theatre and the giant Glacis parking.
my wife and I have eaten here a number of times and always return because the food and service is always very good.
We last ate lunch here on Wednesday 16th June 2010. We ordered the Mexicaine salad €17.00 and the Chicken salad €15.00. They were both wonderful and I am sure I will order the mexicaine salad if and when we return.
However this visit was marred by an extraordinary wait for the food. Our waitress was well aware of the delay but something was wrong in the kitchen.
We had chosen to eat inside as although the day was sunny it not too warm outside. So to add insult to injury the electronic curtain shading the sun from our table was raised. We asked for it to be put down and it was. Then later just after we began (belatedly) to eat it rose again. It then remained up as it had now "broken" We therefore finished our meal in full sun, in a greenhouse. Not very nice.
This visit has soured our view of this restaurant and we are yet to decide if we will return.
