The Hotel is right on the river and the main road through Vianden. Our Room was surprisingly large at the back of the Hotel. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I imagine front (river facing) rooms are great for the view but more noisy due to the main route running past the Hotel. All pleasant but you have the choice. The restaurant was very very good. Again a classical style but super food .. the Escargot where superb as were the Bouche a la Rienne and the Scallops with King Prawns and rice. We tried a different restaurant on our second night and were dissapointed. I recommend you stick to the hotel!. Service was fine although the staff are worked off their feet and looked exhausted by the time we left. Breakfast also good although it was busy. Prices were comparable to the rest of the town. We would go again any time! It was a great stay and of course Vianden and Northern Luxembourg is very beautiful.

Room Tip: Front rooms ..great view but can be noisy! Back rooms .. peaceful.

Easy to find by the river, nice welcome by a very friendly sort of hyper french speaking guy with a totally rocking German work ethic. He was running around like a mad rabbit satisfying everyone, especially at breakfast, absolutely legend. The hotel was also nice, clean, large room. It had a few annoying things though, a small window above the door which would lit up the room whenever someone turned on the lights in the hallway. The hotel, as of the rest of the country I would assume, has not banned smoking indoors - which ruined the rest of my clean clothes for the rest of the trip. Horribly medieval to still allow smoking in bars and restaurants when you're not used to it.

Room Tip: You might want to try and get a room as far at the end of a hallway as possible since you might get...

Very nice hotel in the centre of vianden with view of the castle. Lovely staff, correct food, comfortable room. The room is simple but very clean and comfortable. You have all you need for a good price. Good breakfast with a choice of cold and warm food. Restaurant is nice. Food is not gastronomic but good and really not expensive. Staff is nice and speaks different languages. The hotel is very clean and beautiful. Some rooms located just in the corner of the street are a little noisy but hotel is perfectly located just at the beginning of a little bridge where you can go to reach the castle. The river is just in front of the hotel so if you go a day of good weather, you can sit and have a drink just beside the river. Great ! There is also a terrace at the back where you can eat and drink or simply relax. We have been surprised of the good price in summer for the excellent service we had. A very good address in Vianden if you want a 3 *** hotel good and not expensive.

Room Tip: Ask a room not noisy at the back of the hotel.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and had "Gastronomic package". We didn't regret about it. Dinner was tasty and interesting, especially the second "gastronomic" one. Breakfast was good too. And they gave us a bottle of Luxembourg wine, so we didn't have to worry about souvenir:)
The hotel is well-situated next to the river, rooms are comfortable and clean, staff is friendly, so it really worth to visit.

At first the staff couldn't care less about our visit. She said there (and pointed) are the key's, pick 105 and it's upstairs.
The view is great. Vianden is a nice village. When we looked out of the windows we saw the river, some shops and the famous castle. This view at night is also wunderfull.
We had to eat at the hotel as part of the voucher we bought. We knew that there came 4 diches. All of the Days had soup, Dilicious. The second plates were also good. Not always my favourite but cooked well. Three times out of three!! I Have had an awful main dish. First a gordonbleu look-a-like but worse and fat. The next day a fat microwaved sparerib. The worst I ever had. And the last day a Wiener Schnitzel. Not a real class especially when it's dry and fat.
In a hotel you pray for the best beds. We hadn't. 2 separate matrasses who didn't fit in the bed. And I hate it myself when you here noises by turning around. You hear a lot of noise and get crazy becouse of the flies and mosquitos.
The interior and bathroom were smal but OK. There was a flatscreen with several German channels and free wifi connection.
My biggest disappointment was the food. Not in harmony and the main dish was certainly not OK. The waiter was alone and came by every 15minuts and was wearing a comfy T-shirt, not a bad person by spoke French, a bit German and No English. One time we started our dinner outside, when it went colder we asked if it was possible to go to the inside. He said (translated) Yes, but only in the Bar. We went there and ate our icescream between smokers...
Never coming back to this hotel allthough the place is still wunderfull!

Room Tip: If only the view counts, take room 105 otherwise pick another hotel, eat outdoor and shut the window...

Vianden is a lovely town - an absolute must see if you are in Luxembourg!

This hotel is well placed in Vianden - it is on the banks of the river and close enough to everything to walk around. Very clean room and helpful staff. Lovely view of the castle from outside the hotel.

Couldn't use the swimming pool as it had closed (we asked at around 7pm or so). Bed was two twins pushed together to make one big one, so slightly uncomfy, but definitely not a deal breaker!

Overall, if you are looking for a simple place to stay without too many frills and fancies, this does the trick.

Vianden is beautiful, scenery is outstanding and Victor Hugo was a great place to have lunch; perched over the river and with a great view on to the the rise and castle, this beautiful town obviously has an effect on the mood of the staff at the Victor Hugo restaurant,
From the moment we walked in there was a friendly welcome; (Dutch, French, German & English spoken), lovely setting, great staff and nice food, we all ate different dishes and had no complaints, All reasonably priced and filling for lunch; when we go back we intend to stay at the hotel so we can sample the breakfast!.
