It is worth going inside just to see the lovely old fashioned decor, the painted ceilings and chandeliers. The cakes are to die for too.

This cafe cum bakery looks beautiful. You can sit inside or outside although if you pick the latter you may still be sitting while you read this. Waiters not in a big hurry to serve you. Inside is much better though.Well air conditioned and the service is very good. Layout of bakery fare is well done and looks very appetizing . Toilets though need attending to and in an establishment such as this, that is not good enough. Overall food was good but service depending where you sit very hit or miss.

This is a must for Malta in the old days, i have been going to the Caffe Cordina for over forty years, the last time to meet a Maltese lady of ninety, who has been going for most of her life. Ice cream, cakes coffe, apperatiff, a sandwich, sit or stand in this little piece of old world charm.

Upon the recommendation of local friends, I visited Cafe Cordina in Valletta and it was a great experience. The cafe is approaching the 200 year mark and besides its historical significance, it has a beautiful interior (check out the amazing ceilings!). Of course, the food quality is important and they don't disappoint; I tried a sausage roll and a chocolate pastry and both were amazingly good.

This café is excellently situated on Republic Street. The staff are very efficient, & usually friendly. All speak good English. The menu is quite varied, catering for those who just want a morning coffee (all varieties) up to delicious meals. If you only have a short time on the island make sure you have a coffee stop here. Lots of places to eat both inside & outside, with umbrellas to shade everyone. There are good washroom facilities. The decorated ceilings inside the main area are well worth a look
