Magnificent baroque structure, built and decorated by the Knights of St John. Audio guide (included in the ticket price) an ideal way to see the cathedral at one's own pace.

It was just so ornate inside, it was hard to take everything in. And the Caravaggio paintings were amazing to see. An absolute must see

This slightly austere looking cathedral is a treasure trove on the inside. We loved looking at the original Caravaggios including "The beheading of John the Baptist" and also the illuminated manuscripts.

i was thrown back then i entered the cathedral. the floorings, the frescos, the celinings and the perfectly preserved overalls of the Grand Masters....my jaw dropped from when i entered and took a while after i left to revert to a closed mouth position. The family were told for days of the amazing surroundings...although i am not a church goer however i would like to attend a mass in this spectacular Cathedral.

A fabulous place that takes your breath away. You definitely should experience it. A small charge to get it but you do get the audio tour which had great narration be warned it does it crowded but you aren't rushed.
