“Dont miss a harbour cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

Really enjoyed the 2 hrs harbour cruise of Valetta( leaves from Silema). We got this free as we had taken a hop on hop trip In Gozo with Malta sightseeing . It seemed to cost 15 euro if bought separately but we got the hop on bus + this cruise for just 12 euro. It was a fabulous trip Valetta is so impressive from the sea and there are so many harbours to viist - don't miss this .

“Latini Harbour Cruise from Sliema”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Leaving from Sliema waterfront, this cruise took in the harbours and creeks surrounding the city of Valletta. Although available separately, we got this cruise as part of a deal with the ticket for the 'hop-on, hop-off' sightseeing bus tour. The taped commentary, in English, was comprehensive and included all the sights of Grand Harbour and Marsamxetto Harbour, including the waterfront buildings, fortifications, monuments, dockyards, cruise terminal, yacht marinas, etc., together with a summary of the history. Apart from a little rocking between Fort St Elmo and the Breakwater, the ride was very smooth. It took about two hours and was very worthwhile.

“Latini cruises.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

We did the two-harbours cruise with Latini. They use smaller boats and go deeper into the creeks than some other companies. Commentary only in English, mostly tape-recorded, but from time to time also live commentary with present facts (e.g. about certain boats in the harbour). It is definitely worthwhile to do the cruise, the one problem with Latini was that while they were supposed to leave at 12.00, they waited until 12.45 to fill up their boat (that's why 4 stars instead of 5). We did buy a separate ticket for the boat, but the cruise is also included in the hop-on hop-off service around the island (maltasightseeing) which all together is the same price as just the boat trip and even one euro cheaper than the other boat trips.

“Great way to see Valetta and understand its history's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

We had previously walked around Valetta and seen many of the attractions, or so we thought. Seeing them from the sea gives a totally news perspective to the buildings, particularly the giant bastions and puts them in their historical perspective as sea defences.
We went with Luzzu cruises who, as previously noted, do seem to go further into the inlets than their main competitors. The commentary was just what was needed, sufficiently informative but with enough humour to keep you interested.

“Harbour Cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

The best ways to see the beautiful attractions of both the harbours of Malta,i.e. The Grand Harbour and Marsamxetto is a harbour Cruise which starts from The Strand at Sliema. This trip takes about two hours. First the boat visits Marsamxetto Harbour and then it goes out in the open sea and from there it enters the Grand Harbour. Magnificent views meet the eyes of the beholders, scenes that it is very difficult to forget. In my opiniom every tourist, foreigner and Maltese should take this trip once in his life. It is great.

Welcome to Malta and enjoy the trip.
