Really enjoyed this smart little pavement cafe which is adjacent to St.John's cathederal and closeby the two other restaurants in St.John's Square. The tables situated under parasols have the added benefit of spraying a very fine cooling mist. While we were there during July they had a sax/clarinetist performing with backing tapes two or three times a week, but even if he's not there when you visit you can also benefit from live performers on the nearby steps of the cathederal which seems to be a regular occurrence.
Good food and drink at reasonable prices and I can definitely recommend the Thai fishcakes. At night, with the glow from the lit up cathederal, the buzz from the collective eateries and the sound of live performers, you get a great ambience.
All the best in your travels,
Peter and Rosalind
