“CELEBRATING FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Together with a group of friends we decided to celebrate the birthday of one of us at Aaron's Kitchen. It was an excellent evening. We could talk together in a quiet atmosphere. The food was excellent and well presented. We were served by a lovely lady who did her best to satisfy us. And what about the dessert?. It was really delicious. The price was to our budget. Finally we left fully satisfied and decided to go again. WELL DONE AARON.KEEP IT UP.

“No need to go there for Pasta”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Because the place has a lot of pasta dishes, we went there for lunch and had pasta. We regretted it. The pasta was not bad but far away of being anything special, btw. what you'd expect in a restaurant. The spicing was just not good.

The owner (at least we think it was the owner) was quite unfriendly and rude, whereas he talked a lot with locals. So as a non-local there is no reason to go there - at least not for pasta. Maybe the meat dishes are better - but as the spicing of the pasta was not good I can't imagine it.

“You will LOVE this place!”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

After touring the old city in the morning we had a few restaurants on our list and Aaron's was
well located just off the main square by the Strait Street (alley) so we walked in for lunch at 12:30. We simply had their traditional Maltese starter dishes of a noodle omlette and also a
dish with a great mix of meats, cheeses and vegetables. We paired that with a local wine and it was all prepared perfectly. We finished by sharing a desert plate consisting of a small cannoli, rum pastry and another pastry that was indescribably delicious.
The staff and chef are great hosts as we spend an wonderful 2+ hours relaxing in their establishment. Prices are moderate and a good overall value.

Only about 8 tables in the place so if its high season you get the idea..
By the way, there is free wifi about 100 feet away in the square.

“Great Selection of Seafood”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

I was slightly underwhelmed by the menu when I first came across it however when we got into the restaurant I was quite impressed by the large selection of specials as well as fresh fish. The menu was very helpfully explained by the waitress. I had the lobster fettucine which was excellent, the lobster was very well done, not overcooked and chewy like I've had in other places. Very generous portion. However, my partner had the black salmon tortellini which he found too salty accompanied by a sauce that was too bland.

“Best fish ever?”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

I was able to select the rock fish (a curious looking deep sea monster) from the day's catch, after recommendations from the waitress. For only 19 euros this was turned into a heavenly baked dish with a taste of fennel among others. It could very well be the best fish I've eaten.
It took a while to prepare, but that didn't matter as in the meantime I was wolfing down a huge serving of minestrone for a "starter". While the fish was marvellous, the soup wasn't quite that fantastic, though still good. Maybe it had been cooking a bit long?
Anyways: great service, and an enjoyable experience.
