“warm family atmosphere and great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

On the whole - we enjoyed it very much! The room we had was nice and cozy, but the A/C needs to be fixed to work better. We had a very warm experience with the women of the staff who went our of their way to make our stay a pleasing one and helped in any little or big thing. We liked the location and the church bells nearby. The food was ok and their generosity was evident in the meals as well. We did have a problem with the WLAN that did not connect well. We would probably stay there again in our next visit to Malta and recommend the hotel to our friends.

Room Tip: trust the nice women of the staff to help you choose the right room for you!

My wife and I stayed here for one night in December to attend a concert and complete our Christmas shopping. Our stay was in every way delightful. Yes, the hotel is quirky but it is far better value than the other city centre options and we were impressed with our accommodation, the helpful and friendly staff, and the food (breakfast offered a good choice).
We shall not hesitate to use this for short stays in the future, especially in the Spring/Autumn when the splendid roof terrace will be an added benefit.

Room Tip: Some rooms do not have a window opening to the outside, we understand (although we did, and had a fi...

The reviews were very misleading. This is not a hotel. It offers rooms over a pizzeria. The bedrooms open onto what was once an inner courtyard but which is now covered over with transparent plastic roofing, with the water/waste pipes attached to the internal walls. The rooms from what I could see all had internal 'windows' - opening onto the balcony/corridor and covered courtyard so impossible to leave open as anyone passing could see and reach in. The noise from some machine switched off only when the kitchens closed around 11 vibrated in the room all day, leaving it impossible to stay in. Access is through the restaurant up to 11 pm. After that you let yourself in a side entrance and navigate a maze of steps to your room. Air-conditioning had to be paid for separately. Restaurant staff 'doubled' as receptionists, insisting on full payment before you received your key. The great location in the centre of the town did not really make up for the deficits in the accommodation.

The Hotel is situated in the old town of Valletta, opposite the St. John's Co-Cathedral.The room was spacious , comfortable and clean. The bathroom was modern . The rooms have air- Condition, much needed during the summer. The Hotel offer free WLAN. The Hotel is situated close to the bus terminal, making sightseeing easy. The food and the wine selection at the downstairs restaurant was excellent and good value for the money. Not wanting the English Breakfast included, we were served what ever we liked, croissants, bread, toast, toasted sandwich . On arrival, the owner, Luciano gave us his Mobile phone number just in case we needed help or anything. This will defiantly be the hotel I will be staying at when visiting Malta in the future.I don't think I have ever met as friendly a staff anywhere else in the world.

I had friends coming over from Scotland, to visit Malta. They wanted to sleep in the Capital City of Valletta. I opted to book the Valletta Boutique because of its location and good reviews on tripadvisor. I had very good feed back from my friends and I also got to see the room they where in over looking the Cathedral. A big thank you to Cinzia for meeting up to our every need and making my friends visit a special one. Keep up the good work.

Danny

We were in 3 collegues and we found in the Luciano Valletta Boutique a wonderful place to stay. Great to start the days and very welcoming. The top roof terrace was as well a very pleasant and unique site to rest and brief.
The entrance of the Hotel is located in the restaurant and the desk is the bar desk. However, the atmosphere was unique and so friendly. All the staff very willing to make you feel as best as possible. The feeling was at first very good! The rooms we had were really great, confortable and special. All the historical building was perfect for our stay! We really suggest it to every one wants to spend a pleasant trip in Malta. The position was great, everything perfect! many thanks to every body and a special thank to the owner, Mr. Luciano for his hospitality and kindness.

Room Tip: the rooms facing the Cathedral have a look into the Maltese life. But the inside rooms are very char...
