“Characterful, quirky and great food!”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

What a great little restaurant! Small, so tables are close together and there's not much elbow room, but this just adds to the atmosphere. Lovely old-time music and pictures, excellent staff, good home-made food.
I had chicken pie for lunch, which went down very well with Cisk. My very picky veggie husband thought the choice was excellent for vegetarians and said his ravioli filled with Maltese cheese and covered with garlicky tomato sauce was absolutely delicious.
We'll be back!

“Great place”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

Loved this place - brilliant decor and great choice of food and drinks, all very reasonably priced. Excellent service too. Centrally located in Valetta and ideal venue for pre- post- theatre or cinema. Quite small so you may have to wait for a table but very accommodating staff who will rearrange tables as required. We tried pasta dishes and ftira - all excellent and generous portions. Free wifi an added bonus.

“A little gem!”
Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

This is a fantastic cafe/bar/restaurant that we've been to a couple of times and will continue to go as regulary as we can afford! The service is always great, efficient, friendly but you never feel pressurised! The drinks selection is great, especially the extensive and very reasonably priced wine list. The food is also delicious we have tried the cheese platter which is big enough for a main meal for two and very good quality. We've also had the pasta....wow! I don't know how they make it taste so good! We've also been to the Cafe Jubilee in Gzira which is also great and quite lively on a weekend. The breakfasts and coffee in Gzira are great as is the fresh orange juice! Definitely one of the best places we've been to!

“Something different”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Cafe Jubilee was recommended to us by friends who had visited earlier in the year. It's an interesting little place - quite dark and covered in posters and newspapers from the 20s and 30s. Service was good and they do excellent Maltese pies and ftira. The background music matched the decor and it's a good place to relax over a cold beer. Prices were reasonable and portions large. Only downside for me was that there was no loo paper in the ladies. Hopefully just a temporary hiccup as we will definitely return.
