If you haven't had time to read up on Maltese history before going, this attraction is the remedy. In a 45 minute audio-visual show, narrated over headphones in many languages, an overview of the islands' past is provided, from the neolithic to the second world war. The content is understandably simplified, but an excellent introduction.Indeed, this attraction has seemingly been so successful as to spawn imitators in more than one city on the island, but this one is reputedly the best and was certainly superior in implementation to the one other we visited. There is also a cafe, toilets and souvenir shop on site, and horse cabs will drop off or pick up from outside.
