Excellent from the minute we walked in; Toni put us at ease and it became immediately obvious he was a professional. His knowledge of the menu, which he pretty much recited by heart was expert. The food and service continued faultlessly. After my half bottle of red was finished he generously opened a full bottle of the same so that I could continue with my chosen red and enjoy another glass. This is a romantic, relaxing little restaurant with reasonable prices.

... from time to time you will come across a restaurant like Rubino.
But only if you are really fortunate.
Not just intimate and atmospheric, with an amazing range of local specialities, the staff are both enthusiastic and welcoming.
All four of us enjoyed a delicious three course meal with substantial portions - and that's not including a choice of local breads, hummus and broad bean paste; perfectly complimented by very good Maltese wine.
If only all meals out were so memorable for all the right reasons! Even the local digestif did the trick and sent us off into Valetta very contented indeed!

The food here is fresh, simply prepared and tasty.

No pretentions with sauces to cover blemishes in the produce.Generous servings of tasty food.

Good service from the proprietors knowledgeable about their food and what it will deliver.

Nothing more can be asked of this place except a view of the bastions, and unfortunately to get that you need to compromise on your meal!,

If you are looking for fresh and authentic Maltese cuisine then look no more you have arrived! This restaurant only serves fresh food with a menu that changes everyday. In my opinion the pasta is always great and my local favourites are the rabbit or the grilled squid.

In terms of the atmosphere it is nice classic and the waiters are always here to make sure everything is going well.

Be carefull not to eat too much of the dips and bread as the portions are large!

This charming family run restaurant is an absolute delight.
As soon as you enter you are taken by the cool air conditioning, charming decor and smart tables with crisp linen tablecloths.
The extensive menu, including many local dishes ,is on a blackboard on the wall. The waiter explains every dish in mouth watering detail.
Portions are large so we went straight to the main course.
The food is fantastic, our son enjoys steak and says it was the best he had ever tasted We can also recommend the pork and squid. Save room for the delicious homemade desserts, the cassata Sicilana is to die for.
The staff are friendly and attentive and the service is outstanding.
There is a very good choice of wine, including many half bottles.
We have eaten at Rubinos many times in the last couple of years and the quality is always outstanding. We have visited 10 of the restaurants in the current top 30,there are some very good restaurants in Valletta, but this excellent restaurant is the best.
