The Palace Hotel was booked for a family trip for mine and my twin's 40th birthday in Janaury. As soon as you walk in you feel the luxury of the hotel, with impressive chandalier, and a great restaurant called talk of the town. we ate there several times and the food was wonderful, service efficient and friendly. the rooms were great, except my sister's balcony had a wall as it's view. We used the spa several times, great massages and again wonderful service. The Temptasian restaurant was wonderful, spoilt for choice with the wine list and meals, couldn't have had a better birthday. WE were also invited to a 'meet the manager' drinks from 6-8 and when they learned it was our 40th, we found bottles of wine in our rooms when we retuned later that night - with a handwritten note, really sweet and kind. The hotel is so central, within minutes you are at the the water front, so close to reataurants and bars, and only a short taxi ride to Valetta - which the hotel organised for us. i highly recommend the Palace, it is impeccable in all it does, such a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Go higher than the third floor for the views.

The Palace Hotel; met all of our needs.
The staff & facilities are first class.

There are too many staff to mention individually, every member of the team is dedicated to making your stay successful.
There are however some I would like to make a special mention of.

Ami, On the front desk always helpful & smiling.
Mario, Always willing to help with our luggage & advise of where to visit & how to get there.
Dorianne, On hand with a winning smile to ensure our stay was perfect.

I recommend The Palace Hotel without reservation & will be returning in the near future.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a balcony & view, it's well worth the extra cost

Just returned from a weeks stay here and while we enjoyed it and the staff are really nice and helpful,it must be said that this is not a 5 star hotel this is based on several items the first major issue for anyone staying here is the BELLS in the church almost directly opposite this hotel is fairly new in comparison to the church, and knowing that the bells ring every 15 minutes 24 hours a day why have they not used the best soundproofing available on the glazing ? This meant we wer,e subjected to bells loud bells right through the night and this is applicable to rooms on every floor numbers 135-150 at least, second there are PIR,s in the rooms which light at the slightest movement and lights up the room at every blink.bathrooms are tiny for a 5* and the bath sheets are no more than hand towels and thin! TV channels are few. On the positive side it is centrally located a five minute walk to the strand but is hilly on the return, as others have stated if using a taxi Always get a price first as they will rip you off.
The bar area is very pleasant and food good and reasonably priced drinks reasonably priced. Overall a pleasant 4* however would sadly not stay here due to the problem of the bells but one the hotel could and should resolve. The staff are great and sorted our hire car to be delivered and parking the car in the car park excellent and cheap 2 Euros per day, stunning views from roof terrace and plenty of sun beds which are of good quality, I hope the hotel resolve the noise issues of both the bells and road noise as this would enhance and encourage customers to return, sadly until this happens we would not return which is a shame

Dear scousekeith,

Your observations regarding your stay at The Palace have been put forward to our Management Team for discussion.

Alternatively, on arrival at The Palace, you may avail yourselves of the opportunity to upgrade to a room on the other side of the hotel, where the bells you mentioned would not be heard as much.

We do hope you give us another try and look forward to welcoming you back at The Palace.

We went for 2weeks, it was a super holiday. It's a 5star hotel very near just about everything. It's modern and clean, very well presented. The indoor pool was lovely and warm but a bit small. The outdoor infinity pool on the roof was lovely but a bit cold in March. Gym was very well equipped. It's a couple of minutes walk to the sea front and the ferry to Valetta. Rooms are spacious, and the ones at the front are in full sun all day with fab views over to Valetta. The Asian restaurant served superb food, with lovely cocktails and very friendly staff. The main restaurant served a hot buffet each night. The breakfast in the main restaurant saw a good choice of most things, but they can't cook fried eggs, they were always hard and rubbery. The staff were great. They don't leave enough tea bags or milk for 2people for 24hrs so you have to keep asking for more.

Room Tip: Get a room at the front it's in sun all day.

My wife and I love this hotel and stay here frequently when we visit family in Malta as it always makes it a lovely relaxing holiday. Our first stay was in the month it opened around seven years ago and we have enjoyed every stay since, which has been a couple of times each year. It is part of a small chain of hotels owned by a Maltese family and the management and staff are always extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful and it is encouraging to see in what, with the adjoining Victoria and Palazzo, is quite a large hotel complex just how many of the current staff have been there since it opened.

The hotel is situated at the highest point of Sliema in a quiet location away from the sea front but just a few hundred yards from the harbour on one side, the Med on the other and the shopping and restaurants in between. Rooms, particularly the suites, are quite large and in keeping with the modern and contemporary style of the hotel. All rooms on the outside of the building have balconies, many with sun loungers, and those on higher floors have great views with some looking across the harbour to Valletta, but for the best views go to the roof with the infinity pool and more relaxing sun-loungers. At the roof-top Temptasian restaurant you can also take in great views of Valletta while dining on sumptuous Asian cuisine.

Our favourite place to relax in the evening is in the quiet and comfortable bar with its efficient staff, but you can also go to the bar in the adjoining Victoria sister hotel for a different atmosphere. In the morning breakfast in the spacious ground-floor restaurant can often be taken outside in the sun on the terrace. If we have time we indulge in a treatment at the spa, although we have yet to use the well-equipped gym and indoor pool.

A recent change in the road network means that there is now very little traffic passing the hotel so making it a very pleasant experience on the balconies or when relaxing in the sun outside on the ground-level bar terrace. You are never far from a church in Malta and the Palace is close to two whose bells chime sporadically every quarter hour throughout the day and night, but they are so irregular that after a short while you don't notice them, and anyway they add to the relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere!

Room Tip: Ask off a room on the outside of the building on floor 3 or higher to get a good view.
