Its a nice 5* hotel but not heavy at all like other luxury hotels can be sometimes :)
Pleasant ,comfortable and in a good location
The breakfast is good but could use an update a bit
There is a supermarket just 3 minutes away ,and bus stops just down the road a distance of 5-6 minutes walk
Our room was spacious ,clean and relaxing ,the only minus it had was that the water of the bath would come a bit out as it only had a door covering half of the bath
Receptionist were nice and friendly
If you like spacious steam baths, saunas and gym facilities then this is not the place for it ,they are very small, but bc i was there just for 3 days it did not bother me personally even thus i like to exercise and use the sauna
The Ferries terminal is near too so if you like crossing by boat over to Valletta then its an ideal place
They have nice offers at the spa and its worth trying it out

Room Tip: Best rooms are the ones not close to the road in front of the church

We stayed in a gorgeous room on the 8th floor. We did everything we could possibly do in our week in Malta- bus tours, boat trips, spa treatments, car rentals and fancy meals every night. The Asian restaurant in the hotel was amazing!! The cocktails in the bar were banging. Hotel staff were always very happy to help.
I could not have asked for any more. The hotel was a short walk away from the sea front. Perfect so it wasn't noisy. And a short bus or taxi ride to nice places such as St. Julian's bay.
We would definitely come back to The Palace.

The hotel is in a quiet part of Sliema, within walking distance 500 meters from shops, the ferry to Valetta, the see front.
The food in the bar and the top floor restaurant, and the breakfast really excellent. The lobby area is convenient and modern. The personnel of the reception and the bar/restaurants are also service minded. The rest of what I can say is NEGATIVE.

Our "deluxe" room on 8th floor had a nice view but had nothing to do with "luxe" or 5 star level. It did not have sufficient water pressure to have the hand water tube function, you could only wash yourself by taking a bath. No bidet. Our room missed the minibar, although all rooms are supposed to have a well fitted mini bar. This was mentioned to the reception that brought up a minibar. But with no content. What is the purpose with a minibar that is empty? During our 4 days stay, the minibar remained empty.

One day the beds were only made/the room cleaned at five in the afternoon. Sunday morning, at 08.30! the cleaning lady knocked the door wanting to do the room. We complained to the hotel director who said that we should have placed the "no disturb" sign outside the door. We appreciated indeed his client oriented reply. However, other guests nearby, that had placed the no disturb sign on the door, were also waked up at the same time by the cleaning personnel, 08.30 on the Sunday.

We also found it complicated to make use of the safe in the room: you had to contact the reception to activate it. Not being able to call the reception from the room, I went there with my activation request. Somebody came with me back to the room but he was not able to resolve the problem. He called someone else that some minutes later came and activated the safe. In all other hotels I have been to, to use the safe is something uncomplicated and straight forward.

We asked some other guests of the hotel, they ALL were of the view that the hotel is far from being at a 5 star level.
If you don't care about the room or the service but would just want to stay in a calm, not noise area with good hotel kitchen, this might be the hotel for you.

We stayed four nights in late march. We are very pleased with the overall experience. The last half of the fifth thumb up from us earned on the embarrassingly spacious room offered for the rate we booked at. Must have been some kind of upgrade. I believe we booked a pretty standard room, but we ended up in the so-called Palazzo Suites.

Extremely helpful staff. Fresh and varied breakfast. Strongest feature on the plus side though was the silence! Never been to such a silent place, and this wasn't low season!

All in all not quite five stars as they come in the metropolises of Europe and America, but extreme value for money.

We spend a nice week in excellent Palace Hotel Sliema. We were served by very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spacious and modern furnished. Daily cleaning was naturally and efficient. Breakfast was varied and rich, cold and hot food and different kinds of bread and cake. It was very pleasant to use the indoor pool early every morning, but at 7.30 am no towels were available.
The hotel bar offered drinks and food for moderate prices.

We stayed in a 'superior room' and were blown away by the sea view when we entered. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The services such as the spa, indoor pool & sun deck with 360 views of Sliema, the sea and Valetta were stunning. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to use the outdoor pool which was the only minor set back. The cafe's & resteraunts within the hotel were top class. The location was good in the heart of urban sliema with a short walk to the sea front cafe's, shopping and bus services to the more tourist areas of St Julian's, Paceville & Valetta. All in all we had a wonderful trip and would certainly stay again.

A lovely hotel, not exactly five stars, I would put it somewhere between four and five, but nevertheless a good value. The staff is helpful, sometimes a bit to eager to sell you services from their associates (for example, they insisted on us using the hop-onsightseeing bus instead of public transport, which works spotlessly).
The hotel is close to the ferry to Valletta, and to the buses which will take you all over Malta.
The room (we had a superior room, no. 746) is spacious, light, with lovely view, with big comfortable bed and enough pillows to choose from, which is important for me as a back patient.
The breakfast is also great, a lot of choice, except that they served only coffee and black tea . The restaurant staff was a bit annoying with taking away our plates and cutlery without asking if we had finished, so if you want to go for a second serving, make sure you don't leave your cutlery unattended :-)
There are two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, both rather small, but enough for a dip.
Both the bar and the 9th floor Asian restaurant serve good food.

Room Tip: Ask for the 5th floor or higher
