on arrival after 'book in' there was no staff to help us to carry 8 pieces of baggage to the tenth floor! Not a good start. Somehow, they were all too busy we were told. Some staff often swore in Maltese in front of guests.A lot of guests are ex 'pats' so they understand. We were told you pay on departure but, as soon as we got there, they wanted the money upfront!! And after our stay, we could not find any staff to help us with our 8 bags. From the tenth floor to the foyer mywife and I hauled our baggage ,cursing that we won't return to this place.Do not ask about internet!! Most days it was not available.Very disappointing for a '4' star hotel. The only thing positive was the view.

Room Tip: the higher floor the better= less traffic noise

What a wonderful hotel. I cannot fault it at all. Myself & my family of 6 had a wonderful holiday. Staff were helpful & happy. The hotel was clean & spacious enough for everyone. Food was 1st class, pool was lovely with a slope down to it but well worth it for being next to the sea. We were able to swim, snorkel in both the sea & the pool. Pool bar excellent very large portions so no one was hungry.
We had 2 rooms both with sea views well worth the extra if you spend time on your balcony.
The Starlight room on the roof was lovely at night, with glass on all sides & a terrace the evening views of Malta were panoramic
Evening entertainment was good.
The spar was used by all the party except myself as it had steps to it. As a wheelchair user I was well aware of this before I booked.. (The hotel is wheelchair friendly except for the spar)
We booked trips from the hotel & did not pay more, staff were very helpful & knowledgeable about all the trips on offer on the Island.
As a family we have stayed in Malta many times over many years. We have self-catered & stayed at the Preluna before but this year I took other family members with me so wanted them to be happy with the hotel. I am happy to say they were also very impressed with then Preluna Hotel & had a wonderful holiday. So I did not need to worry if they would like it as well.

Room Tip: All-inclusive excellent value for money. Ask for sea view it is well worth it if you spend time on...

We have had yet another fantastic week in Malta. The staff are long serving members who welcome us every year. Room great and food very high quality as usual.A very well run Triton restaurant and nothing was too much trouble.Guido the restaurant manager is a credit to the Hotel and we look forward to our visit again next year.In our opinion this Hotel may have been operating for many years but will always be a pleasure to stay in.
Thanks again for a great holiday.

Room Tip: A sea veiw room in main block.

We really liked our room with partial sea view on 5th floor, still really great view, clean and bright. People in the hotel are very pleasant and helpful.
Great breakfast: had variety of cold cuts, salads, eggs, sausages, fruits and pastry.
One thing: the air conditioner was really lazy during the day, was more working like a fan, little better during the night, but still wouldnt recommend this during most hot months ( august, beginning of september).
The location is really good, bus stop right in front of the hotel.
The outdoor pool area and the bar are well maintained, have good snack menu for decent price.
Also, for all tourist info, AVOID USING ELEVATORS IN MALTA, had experience rescuing people from really hot and nothing to bright elevator in residential building. It is safer in hotels. But in residential buildings just use the stairs!!! But husband got stuck in ild building elevator. Other time french couple stuck in brand new elevator and we had to open doors by hands to get some air in, they stayed there for about 45 min in 40 degree hit in the middle of the day and emergency button would not work. Thats really scary.

Room Tip: Both rooms with sea view and partial sea view have good view

Spent 10 nights there the accommodation was nicely laid out, clean and we were very pleased. We booked ocean views and had a top floor room with beautiful views of the sea. I booked a further family room for my daughter, son in law and granddaughters and they had a few teething issues with the air conditioning which took some time to fix. We went on a half board basis and we all thought the food was excellent with plenty of choices and plenty to eat. Entertainment in the hotel in the evening was good if you wanted to just relax with a drink, children are allowed.

Room Tip: We were in the newer rooms on the top floor and couldn't fault it with all the amenities as expe...

Travelled as a couple and were put in a dingy room at the back. Wi if connection interrupted every few minutes and very poor reception in the room ( as opposed to standing behind the room door - it was fine there !). Poor maintenance. Flashing light in bathroom not repaired after asking twice. Room brown and very dated. Air con required at full tilt, with fan, all night just to be comfy. Smell of cigarette smoking through the vent in the bathroom. Breakfast adequate.

Be aware there are several standards of room, including self catering newly refurbished and the very 1970s style. Wouldn't return. Plenty more to choose from.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms look generally better . Avoid top floor at back.
