Miso soup was warm, not hot. Temaki couldn´t stand up right! If the simple is not well served and prepared and I don´t even want to try the rest.

“An Excellent sushi place in Sliema”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

One of the best sushi places around the island. Went there more than once and it is always my favourite place to be for a sushi with a reasonable price and a seafront view outside. Excellent customer service!

“Close to hotel”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

We only went in for coffee as it was closest to hotel. Not interested in Japanese Food and felt it wasn't very well occupied during the day

“Mediocre Sushi”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Was craving Sushi, hadn't eaten it in awhile, on my Malta vacation tried this place and left unsatisfied. Miso soup was good but came cold, tempura calamari was good. Not a lot of variety in the types of rolls. The biggest issue with this sushi is there is TOO much rice. its a fat roll with a bit of filling in the middle. If they used half the rice the rolls would be SO much better. Its not incredible or even very good sushi--its Meh. While not bad, this sushi also isn't good.

“Slighty above average”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

For the meal i had here it was above average. I ordered 2 starters and a main course, the starters were the best part of the meal, the main let it down.

The starters were:

Teriyaki beef skewers - delicious, succulent, couldnt tastes the meat but also the marinade and had enough sauce on plate to compliment the dish

Calamari tempura - delicately crispy which the way i like it, the calamari itself was cooked very nicely and was quite tasty.

The main was:

Crispy chicken katsu curry: the chicken itself was nice, crispy batter and cooked well if a little over done if i am honest. The rice was steamed so not hard to do really, but the dish itself was let down by the sauce, which i am afraid is unforgivable especially when it is the main thing about it. The sauce was bland and thats about it. The vegetables with the dish were bog standard which i had to eat with the bland sauce.

Overall the it was an ok meal, which was remember for the delicious starters. The service was quite good, food came quick but not too quick and when i ordered beers a few times they came quickly with new glasses and were very cold. I sat outside by the road with a slight view of the sea which was nice. If i go to Sliema again i would go but would avoid the main.

Overall cost: €37.50. So not cheap but i did order 3 beers at €3.50 each.
