We went here for our last night after looking at TR reviews. The pub was great, staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a couple of drinks and returned later for food. To put it bluntly, this is a pub, it had a great atmosphere locally which was made by the staff. The food was okay, not as expected, in that the quality could have been better. The starters were good, but bruschetta was too crispy in that you nearly broke your teeth on it, mushrooms on the other hand were great. The mains, mainly steaks, cooked to choice and couldn't fault, although the sauces were too much, less sauce would have been better, the steaks themselves were cooked to perfection. They do however cater for most tastes and will vary the menu to suit. What you need to know is that this is a pub and not a restaurant, it's a great pub, but average for food. However, you wouldn't be disappointed for the price you pay.
