Pizza at La Vecchia Napoli is good enough for a pizzeria that's outside Italy. It's slightly more expensive than other comparable restaurants in Malta but the quality is ok. Even though it wasn't a busy night at all, we had to wait more than 50 minutes to have our pizzas delivered. The pizza's base was good, soft and well cooked, tomato sauce was a bit too raw, I asked for a Regina Margherita and I was a bit disappointed because I've just got three small pieces of mozzarella, covering partially three slices, all the rest was mostly raw tomato sauce. Other than quantity of toppings the pizza was good enough. The biggest disappointment came with the desserts, in particular the Baba' which was undercooked and really stiff, nothing closer to a real neapolitan baba'. The staff was kind and the overall price was acceptable. Be careful on chilly nights not to dine outside because, at least when we went there, all the heaters were turned off despite the wind and low temperatures. From friday to sunday it's a very good idea to book a table a day in advance.
