Rocca Nettuno uses the term "Luxury Suites", but that is not quite the category I would have used. The suites are very spacious, they have got balconies and nice furnishing, but the beds (two single beds put together) lacks pillow tops and mattress covers. They put the bed sheets directly on the mattress, and after turning around a few times during sleep, they slip to the side and the mattress is exposed. I find that a bit unhygienic, and also uncomfortable.
When trying to sit up reading, leaning my back to the headboard, the bed slid away.
Also the tiled floor was not very clean. We found dust bunnies in the corners and leftovers from previous guests. There was trash cans in every room, but they were not emptied every day. One of them was not emptied at all during our 7 day stay. The bed sheets were changed every second day.
The breakfast was OK. They served cereal, different kind of breads, coffee, tea, watery juices and English breakfast with scrambled eggs (probably made from powdered eggs), sausages, beans and potatoes.
The location was very good, just a short walk to ferry and busses, restaurants and shops. The swimming pool area on the roof was also very nice. Although the pool was small, it was perfect for cooling down.More
