Finally a cafe in Mosta that has it all. A fantastic location, great coffee and delicious authentic French pastries. A particular mention are the butter croissants. The best I've tasted outside of Paris. A must visit.

Having finished some Christmas shopping in Mosta, my partner and I were looking out for a cafeteria to sip some nice cappuccinos and unwind a bit. My attention was drawn to a new cafeteria named La Tartine which is exactly opposite the Rotunda. We were warmly greeted by a foreign waitress and was served within minutes. The decor of the place is fantastic ... a balance between the old and modern, with exquisite French touches all around, and with all the delicious looking fancy cakes and pastries immaculately displayed. The colour scheme of the cafeteria is lovely and one feels relaxed and comfortable at once. The cappuccinos were lovely ... served at the right temperature and it tasted so good. I noticed that they use Miscela D'Oro which is of a very high quality, but it also shows that the barista knew exactly how a great cappuccino is prepared. The prices of the beverages and food are on the expensive side when compared with other similar places in the area ... however, this place is for the discerning customer who is prepared to fork out that little extra and get a very good product and service. To give an example, a cappuccino costs Euro 2.50 which is a bit pricey, even when comparing it with places of a similar level in Sliema and Valletta, but we both enjoyed our coffees and the decor so much, that it felt money well spent. Although we did not have anything to eat, I noticed that most of the fancy cakes portions were around Euro 4.50 to Euro 5 each, but they looked awesome. Next time we'll make sure to try some of them. I do recommend a visit to this lovely cafeteria, especially when one feels the need to indulge that little bit.

We stopped here whilst whiling away time and the café was a nice little place with a good selection of cakes. I had an Americano which was not bad and we had a choc brownie which was nice. They had lots of variety though. Service was good and helpful.
