Beautiful walled city, an incredible gilded church with marble inlay in the floors, and the museum are must sees. There are a few shops and restaurants, but with traffic limited to horse carriages and few cars, you feel as if you've stepped back in time to another world. The view is great from the ramparts. If you are on Malta, don't miss it.

We went here as an afterthought before we left Malta and I wish we had given it more time. The Church and church Museum were fascinating. We arrived so late that we did not even get to the second floor of the museum. Walking around after dark when the lanterns were lit was like going back in time to a magical place. This city was walled by the Arabs and retained it's original character. Loved it.

Built on the highest spot on Malta Mdina has great views over the island. It is a very well preserved medieval town with narrow winding streets lined with tall limestone houses. We wandered the streets, stopped in the cathedral and museum and ate lunch in a cafe right on top of the wall with great views towards Mosta. We would love to go there again

This was our favorite place on all of Malta. We came back 3 times during a week long holiday! The kids enjoyed the playgrounds outside the city gate. We enjoyed the silent beauty of its ancient streets. A must see in Malta.

We went to Mdina on the open topped bus tour. It ia a beautiful, tranquil old city built of beautiful limestone. The streets are very narrow and winding and the buildings high, you really feel you have gone back in time. There are a few shops, restaurants and coffee houses but no one is pushy. We had coffee and cake up high on the walls with a stunning view of most of Malta. A perfect place to spend a relaxing couple of hours. The Mdina glass is beautiful too, especially the Christmas decorations!
