We were there on a Sunday according to all the review.
Found bazaar items such as batteries, bathrobes, earphones and the such. Few food stands with high then expected prices.
The bay is nice but not what we expected looking for a place to hang out and for an "original" market.

Maybe markets are not you thing, but Marsaxlokk Bay market is well worth a visit, even if you don't want to buy anything, just to walk around is fun for your seances. I still can not pronounce Marsaxolokk though, maybe you can do better. Have a try.

Whenever I visit, one of the spots I go to very often is this little village with its colorful boats and people. My favorite breakfast early in the morning is to sit outside the Labour Party club and enjoy a view of the colorful bay as it basks in the early morning sun. The friendly locals going about their chores. This village has that idyllic Mediterranean feel to it, most of it unchanged with time. There are many fine restaurants there, and there is a market on certain mornings.

a quaint fishing village that has a thriving sunday market, but remains unspoilt, the beautiful harbour is surrounded by many great bars and grills , lovely to find somewhere that is unspoilt by commercialism yet. well worth a visit.

The Sunday market runs along the side of this pretty little port where there are many fishing boats, painted in the traditional Maltese colours of blue & yellow- worth taking a camera along!
