One of the last sunny days in November we went to Marsaxlokk for an outing. We visit Mr. Fitz for lunch. The Menu is simple and basically the same like in all the other places at the Marsaxlokk promenade. We had fresh Octopus and Tuna Salad which was served in reasonable time. The food was more than average and the service was friendly and quick.

We visited this restaurant in October and the food was certainly fresh and tasty... nothing fancy or obnoxious, just decent food at a reasonable price. The young male waiter could only be described as rude and uninterested. Nothing was offered to us, so when asking for drinks, condiments and menus there was always a sigh and a look of I really can't be bothered. We will go back but let's hope they sort the staff out.

Tried this place during a mid-week evening visit to Marsaxlokk. Turned out to be the night of the village festa which provided some local colour, though the religious chanting on an over-loud tannoy system became wearing after more than an hour. Food was really rather good; fish soup for starters; sea-bream fish and pizza were our main course choices. The former was filleted and really well presented, along with good vegetables, including a very well made ratatouille. This was the second night in succession that I had sea-bream and only came about because the service was so unforthcoming when it came to explaining the fish choices. Indeed, the whole service from three or four young girls, although polite enough, was indifferent throughout. A dessert of tutti-frutti cheesecake was very good. The standard of meal was really pretty good and with just a little but more attention to some small details this could be a gem of a place. For a start, employ a maitre d' who can engage properly with customers, leaving the young girls to do the fetching and carrying; set the tables properly, rather than knives and forks brought to the table wrapped in cheap paper napkins and put down any old how; provide placemats or cloths, and a candle on the table would have been a nice and useful touch. As it grew dark, it became increasingly hard to see what we were actually eating.

What a great find on our trip!! We were given lots of options on the menu but the waiter also offered a fish platter which we decided on and it didn't disappoint!! We had a huge amount of fish for the price along with chips and salad, fresh lampuki, swordfish and sea bream!
Amazing views along with great food, will definitely return!
