“Wonderful evening all round”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We had been down to Marsaxlokk before but on a Sunday and the very busy because the market as on. So, on Tuesday night the went to Southport about 8pm and shown the 1st floor balcony then outside terrace you your table.
We were welcomed my some happy staff who couldn't be more helpful, after drinks and time to sample the atmosphere which was amazing.
So, what to eat, I had the full Seafood Platter, Fried Octopus, Baby Cuttlefish, Local Prawns, Asian Steamed Shellfish, Fresh Mussels accompanied seasonal vegetables & potatoes.
I WAS FULL TO BURSTING.
So much that I couldn't manage any afters.
Just a bottle of wine or so over looking the beautiful harbour lights.
As for the money worth every penny or euro.

“Tuna for Lunch”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

We took the bus down to Marsaxlokk in the south of Malta and sat outside on the promenade for lunch. We ordered grilled Tuna with salad & chips. The chef came out to ask us how we would like it cooked (pat on the back for this - other restaurants take note!). Up came the biggest tuna steaks we have ever seen - We ate as much as we could, but still left what would be a reasonable restaurant sized portion each at the end.
Absolutely delicious - and all for €18 each. You could not have bought the fish for that in the UK.
Malta tip - order black coffee and you get Nescafe. Order an Americano and you get ground coffee.
This restaurant also has an outsie dining garden at the bakc and specialises in catering for events - pity they don't have rooms - this would then be heaven!

“Wonderful Lunch!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

We ate here last Sunday, we were last here in October, the food was superb then and just as good this time, a beautiful restaurant and garden, also you can sit outside by the harbour which we did last year. The staff (our waitress) was very good, she also looked after us the last time very helpful as there was some fish I didn't know, my son had the fresh tuna steak which was fantastic, my friend and I had pasta dishes and salad, the wine was very good, an excellent selection, we were very happy with everything and cant wait to return.

“Poor”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Went on Sunday to have an English breakfast with 3 other persons. At 8.30am we were the first customers. The breakfast took at least half an hour to arrive by which time we were irritable with hunger. Then we found a piece of toast in one of the plates which had half missing. It was placed under the other pieces of toast so hiding it from first glance. Whoever prepared the plate definitely knew about it and hid it on purpose. On a plus note, the plates were very full.
