The caravans at Le Clos du Quesnay were our final stay in our bike ride from Dieppe to Paris and back again.
It was the perfect place to stay. A beautiful rural setting with very friendly, high quality chambre d'hote accommodation. The clever interior design of the caravans made for an extremely comfortable stay for 4 bike weary travellers. The evening meals were top restaurant quality and the breakfasts of local produce provided the perfect start to the day. We couldnt have asked for more from our host Sabine and Jean-Francois.
Having to stay a second night because of bike problems was a welcome and unexpected bonus. One of the few times we have been pleased to discover a burst tyre or troublesome puncture.

Room Tip: If you want something different but still very comfortable you have to try the gypsy caravans

This was a lovely and welcoming stay with a great family suite. The kids enjoyed the fireplace, giant chess and delicious breakfast with homemade breads and jams. If the weather had permitted, they would have enjoyed the playground too. We loved the quality comfortable room and friendly welcome. The nearby town of Forges-les-eaux was also surprisingly charming and larger than we expected. We only regretted not having longer than a day to explore the area. We plan to go back and explore by bike path.

Without a doubt the best overnight stay in Northern France I have used in the last six years. The owners are really nice people, the room was excellent and the evening meal was superb. John Francois and Sabine are rightly proud of Le Clos de Quesnay and we will be recommending it to all our friends.

This place is a fantastic find. We stayed just one night and we were very disappointed that we had to leave to catch the ferry, we could have happily stayed longer! It was in the summer on our way back from a two week holiday further south. We stayed in one of the gypsy caravans in the orchards with our two children(3 and 1). The owners were genuinely kind and helpful preparing a little bed and a cot for the children in the caravan along with everything we needed. The caravans were beautifully built with a proper toilet, shower and fully equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space.
The orchards are beautiful and when we arrived were full of fruit! Which was obviously well used when it came to breakfast! There was a great play area for the children which kept them occupied for ages. I could see there was also excellent facilities for BBQs etc if you were staying longer.
The breakfast was the best breakfast I have EVER had at any B&B or hotel anywhere! Lots of homemade preserves and jams, breads, cakes, fresh croissants, delicious fruit from the orchards, yoghurts and lovely hot coffee! Also great to be seated with all the other guests to share conversation over breakfast.

I definitely recommend and will probably return here!

This is a lovely place, spotlessly clean and refurbished very well with
plenty of room for guests.
The owner and his wife are genuinely really nice people and try very hard to
make you welcome and help you make the most of your stay.
There is plenty to see and do - chateaus to visit, villages and of course
superb restaurants.
Dont miss " no. 235 " which is just up the road, also the Auberge in Buchy is
fantastic although a little more expensive.
We drove up to Dieppe and visited a WW2 V1 rocket site on the way, had the
best seafood lunch by the harbour and did some shopping in Dieppe.
I would definately recommend visiting here.

Room Tip: Room Tip: Apparently the caravans were great, but we really like the room we had in the conversion...

We enjoyed a three day stay here in November 2012, having selected Le Clos du Quesnay because of the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed - a really warm welcome on our late arrival (we had warned in advance) excellent accomodation which was really clean and warm (this was November!) and a delicious breakfast offering far more than we could eat. Check out and select local restaurants in advance - perhaps being off season on this trip didn't help - but the whole area around is absolutely beautiful and interesting and this is an ideal base to explore from. Strongly recommended.

We stayed for one night on a road trip through Normandy and Brittany. Jean-Francois and Sabine greet you like long lost friends and you instantly feel at home. Jean-Francois showed us to our wonderful room at the top of a converted barn. Explaining the history of the House, They have completely renovated the House themselves.
Please don't stay there without having Dinner, it really is amazing. The price includes wine and Calvados, made with Apples grown in the Garden. Sabine is a fantastic Chef, she uses products both from their home and the local area. It is really good to sit with different nationalities and enjoy such a lovely meal. After a very comfortable sleep, the Breakfast was equally good with plenty of choice.
Before leaving we purchased some Calvados and Pommearu.
We would have been happy to stay for much longer and we look forward to returning next year.
Thank you Sabine and Jean - Francois.
