My daughter is mad keen on climbing, so wanted to try it on the rocks on our trip to places with great climbing like Sicily and Malta. Having failed to get anything arranged in Sicily (!), we were delighted when Malta Outdoors politely returned my emails, calls and texts to arrange a half day trip with all equipment provided.

Geoff picked us up from Valletta, took us on a random guided tour of the island in search of the perfect crag, while chatting and assessing our needs and abilities. He chose a perfect one at Ix-Xaqqa. He provided expert guidance and training, respecting our safety at all times.

Very satisfying experience - thanks guys!

We had a guided mountain bike ride with http://www.maltaoutdoors.com who do a range of outdoor activities as well as MTB. My wife orgainised this over the Internet with Andrew who runs the site. He was very helpful answering our questions and reasonably priced then when the guide he had organised had an accident on the way to pick us up (someone opening a car door took him off his bike) Andrew stepped in, changed his plans, and did the guiding himself. We were based in Sliema so no MTB nearby, we were picked up at our hotel and driven to Mdina about 40 mins drive. We hired the bikes from Andrew and they were recent models of Specialized Hardrock, an entry level hardtail but sufficient for the ride. We had a great ride with Andrew giving us some history and geography commentary along the way, he is from Malta so has good local knowledge. We went along the coast from Dingli and up towards Gnejna Bay and finished up with a pint in Mgarr. It was a scenic ride with some good single track, farm tracks, rock gardens and a bit of road. We were out about 4 hours and did 20 miles mainly off road with quite a few stops to take in the views. Andrew says he will cater to any needs from basic level up to elite. On this experience I highly recommend Andrew and his team.
