We got there by hop-on,hop-off Gozo bus to spend some relaxing time. Amazing colour of the sand and water, sea is shallow here- safe for Kids.

Beautiful sand, lovely wide bay, clear water, great scenery, free parking, full facilities... the best beach on Gozo... lots of guards as well... you couldn’t ask for more! Thoroughly recommend.

There are no other sandy beaches in Gozo regardless what advice you are given. There are many based on rocks but none as beautiful as ramla . The restaurants near Ramla are OK a bit full of flies at times but the quality of food is reasonable. Ramla is surrounded by beautiful country side but beware in summer if you go by bus that the bus shelters are non existence and there is no shelter from the blazing sun

I’m not sure this beach is all it’s cracked up to be. The sand is mixed with a lot of shells and pebbles making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot on and we got eaten alive by mosquitoes at one of the beach side cafes. Not to mention the hundreds of cats constantly walking round your feet (don’t mind cats but not exactly a cat lover). There is however a couple of interesting points around the beach, there’s a huge cave at the top overlooking the beach (path can be found at the far end of the beach), that’s worth a look, and a couple of memorials on the beach although the WW2 one was cordoned off. The walk from xhagra is really steep so will be a challenge in mid summer with the heat. I was just a bit disappointed and didn’t think it lived up to the hype in the guide books.

A nice clean beach, with a selection of bar/restaurants just off of the beach. Served by lifeguards with coastal walks to either side should you fancy a stroll.

It is also dog friendly and during our visit towards the end of October the sea still had quite a few people swimming in it.
