“sun and good service”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

Ramla is one of the one of the most beautiful bay of the Maltese archipelago. easy to reach by bus from the Harbour of Mgarr. we visited the Ramla beach 6 times in 2 weeks. It's a very good place for swimming and sunbathing. Good service is provided by the bars. On site sun beds and umbrellas are availble for few euro/day.

“Got to go there!”
Reviewed August 18, 2014 via mobile

When you are around Gozo, this is one of the best beaches to go. Its clean and not dangerous at all. You can rent umbrellas for 5 euros a day which I think is a fair deal.

“Red Sands Nice Pictures”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

I went on May so it wasn't the warmest period, it was a bit windy too, but it did not bother the sunbathers. The contrast of the blue sea and the red sand is unique and this place is well deserved a visit.

“Best beach in Europe”
Reviewed August 14, 2014 via mobile

It simply is the most stunningly beautiful beach I've ever been to, and certainly the best in Europe from what I've seen. The water is crystal clear, most of the area is cordoned off some 200 meters off-shore so beach goers don't mix with pedalos and boats. There is a lifeguard and a simple restaurant where you can buy snacks and some basic meals. It's more than enough for a five star beach.
The shore is covered in natural red sand for hundreds of meters, littering seems to be less of a problem than in the Blue Lagoon at Comino. You can rent sunbeds and parasols for 5€ each and they even help you to carry and set them up. The latter is a must if you spend several hours in the sun as there is no shade out in the open, as for the former: it's a matter of taste. I don't mind lying on the hot sand even without a towel but others might find a sunbed more comfy.
Long story short: if you go to Malta, you must go to Ramla Bay on Gozo.

“Lovely clean sandy beach, great for kids”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

Lovely sandy beach, life guard, free parking, umbrellas and loungers if you need them. Quite windy the day we went so great waves to jump in.
