We popped in while on a visit with a tour guide. My husband really enjoyed the wine tasting. They also do a great tomato paste. There was a great range of home produced goods and the lady in the shop was really friendly and knowledgeable. We did not have time for the tour but would have liked to have taken it.

We were impressed by the experience provided by the Ta Mena Estate! The gentleman who showed us aroung (I think his name was John) was really cordial, and shared his knowledge on the production of wine, olive oil, honey, and other products they have at the property. After the tour, we had the wine tasting, along with cheese, tomato sauce, salad, etc. John taught us all about how to hold the glass of wine, how to taste it, and how to really feel the flavours. All this for the reasonable price of 16 euros per person (we eat and drink a lot, so it was a real meal). Totaly recomend their place!! Also, they have a cute little shop where you can buy all they produce there, everything is first quality!

We stopped bye on a rainy day hoping to get to know more about Gozo wines. The lady in charge was rude and shared no information about the wine, food or the farm. When we asked if the wine was made here she replied:
- what do you think !
The shop was dirty and full of dogs ands cats. The Wine was more of a cheap table wine.

It seems that you do not understand what a farm is. Of course we have dogs and cats even in the shop and that is one of the best attractions we have. Our customers love them because they are so friendly. Just visit our Facebook page to see how many photos of these beautiful creatures are posted by our visitors.

You know that whenever we say that we want to refurbish the shop our regular customers get very angry. Everybody wants it like that since it is very rustic. Actually we are going to renovate it but will definitely leave the same environment with the hope that people like you do not visit us.

It seems that you are one of a kind. You would better stay in your concrete environment because you do not even know what a farm and most of all what wine is.

Declaring that our wine is just cheap table wine indicates what a wine connoisseur you are. What do you expect that we are nice with people like you?

We leave it to all Trip Advisor followers to judge.

Visiting Ta Mena was one of the best things we did on our trip to Malta and Gozo. Our host was absolutely fantastic - so knowledgable and passionate about food, wine and the estate itself. He made a real effort to teach us about good produce in such a relaxed, beautiful and authentic setting. The views from the estate were incredible! I could go on and on, but don’t want to spoil it - just go!

Guided by Joseph, the owner of the estate, this wine and estate produce tour is a must if you visit Gozo. He is very proud of his heritage of the estate and as the guided tour through the grounds of the estate passes the crops, he provides useful and anecdotal information. The tour takes around 2 hours and includes tasting of 4 of their winds and some of their local produce, i.e. cheese, sundries tomatoes, olives, sausage, olive oil etc. Joseph provides handy tips for tasting and handling wines, the wildlife and animals of the estate also provide an entertaining accompaniment, one of the parots was intent on joining in on the Buffett!
Sat on tables of around 8 people the social side of tour is also good. I visited with my older parents and have had friends take the tour, so it caters for a wide range of age groups, and there is an option for non drinkers. Situated on the main road between Victoria and Marsalforn, it is on a bus route. The estate shop sells their produce and is open to the public, highly recommend their limoncello, it is delicious. Pre booking is required, and tours are only on certain days. Highly recommend this tour, thank you for a delightful afternoon

Without researching properly as to when the actual wine tours were on we took a trip to the Ta Mena estate and had a memorable experience anyway. We got to browse the lovely produce (oils, pastes, olives etc) and then taste some generously provided amazing wines. The lady who hosted us was great, our main regret is that we weren't around to do the next tour and couldn't fit more wine in the luggage home! We also enjoyed meeting Henry and Henry Jr!

This is one of Gozo's leading wine estates, situated just out of Marsalforn on the Rabat Road. One can engage in wine tours or simply enjoy sampling local produce from the roadside shop. The local produce is truly wonderful, as are the wines. This place has developed a great reputation for promoting local agriculture and foods and is to be recommended.

Joseph is the most knowledgeable and personable guy I've met here, and it's a pretty wine-centric place on the whole but he is a cut above. He weaves history and story into his tours and has a palpable love of nature and ecofriendly-agriculture, and this comes through in the quality of the wines, oils, pickles and cheeses available at the tasting and in the shop. Despite being beset by flies on a scorchingly hot day wuth the whole group was drenched in sweat, he coolly and unfussily demonstrated proper wine tasting and even olive oil tasting. The man's knowledge and gentle presentation style is excellent. We may have had the tour before last year but it was totally worth the revisit. Five glasses of superb wine and endless plates of Gozitan food for €15, can't say fairer than that.
