We had a lovely dinner here after a day at the beach and seeing Azure Window. Had some good wine, crispy pizza and one of the best lemon cheesecakes we have ever tasted. Very good value - tasty and very affordable.

Parked, free, in Piazza Sant Wistin, pleasant walk down pedestrian-only streets and came out in Pjazza San Gorg. On seeing The Grapes Wine Bar, we thought it looked right for lunch; went on to the Citadel and this served to confirm it was. Independence Sq has plenty of places to eat, however, it is a honey pot using pizzas and burgers. So back to The Grapes for lunch; excellent staff and unpretentious food and wine, great value lunch (fish platter for two).

We asked for very simple ftira fron the menu and we received a big amount of bred with almost nothing inside. Moreover the filling were not even good. Place could be nice but don't go there for eating. Also prices are totally unallined to the quality.

We stumbled across the Grapes Wine Bar after exploring the Citadel at Victoria in Gozo. We didn't want a huge meal so elected to have a fish platter between us with a bottle of local white wine. We're glad we didn't go for the pasta which was our first thought because the platter was both huge and delicious and included smoked salmon, smoked swordfish, tuna, and other fish and seafood with salad and tasty local bread. The cost came to less than 25 euros which we thought was great value. It was a quiet location and the enterprising owners also own the coffee shop opposite if you want pastries or ice-creams. Service was good and it was certainly popular with the locals, what greater recommendation is there?

We had lunch here, outside, and the sandwiches were very good and fresh. Bread was excellent.
The square of San Gorg is very Maltese and near the main road (Republic Street), but not so near as to be noisy.
