Ix-Xwejni (Xwejni Bay) is easily reached through Marsalforn or iż-Żebbuġ. It is a shallow bay with a small pebbly beach and rocky stretches leading into clear blue water. For more information, you may go to http://www.visitgozo.com/en/item/beaches/xwejni-bay-and-qbajjar-bay-1176

Oops! After reading reviews we travelled to Marsalforn to find the xwejni bay. Instead we ended up at the swimming spot right in town which we thought was the right place only to find it full of seaweed and little rocks. So I'm not sure what our little spot was! There were plenty of locals and we rented 2 sunbeds with an umbrella for 11euros. There were plenty of restaurants and bars and public toilets which were very clean. I didn't like the beach part (just because of the seaweed wrapping around my legs) but we stayed the day sun bathing. So if you're like me, just double check you go to the correct bay! Haha. Took public bus to Marlsaforn.

Beautiful bay for swimming and sunbathing, shared with the local nuns and locals alike. The saltpans is also a must, where Mr Cini sells his local salt. In summer eat at the cobana, where Sharon and her husband make delightful pizzas, salads and snacks................my favourite beach in Marsalforn :)

Water here is very clear and abundant with fish, snorkel lovers will enjoy it immensely. It's also the favourite haunt of the islands Nuns who are often here late in the afternoons. The small beach is mostly pebbles and the bay itself quite rocky (hence the marine life) but is still a great place to swim.

The bay of Marsalforn is lovely. But since there are many lovely bays in the whole island, itself was not particularly unique. But I do strongly suggest a visit to Xwejni saltpans. Although the name might not sound intriguing, the view is very special and breathtaking. The shape of these saltpans, in a setting where sand, cave and ocean meet, contributes to one of the most individual visual images around.
