We are so sorry that we haven't tried this restaurant before! The food was excellent from beginning to end. We had the garlic mushrooms as a starter - they were divine, and the dressing was delicious. As a main we ordered veal and beef which were both extremely tender and tasty and cooked to perfection. It was hard to decide which one was the better or the two. The desserts were equally delightful: we had warm homemade apple pie with ice-cream and chocolate mousse served with a generous helping of hot chocolate sauce. Absolutely 10 on 10.

Found by accident after visiting folk museum. Proper pasta with a bite not usual soft rubbish you get in UK. Love new sun lounge: good service nice chat with owner. Repeat visit! Only place I bother to go back to in Gozo. I believe spotty dog actually owns the place; but he only checks the place out when there are no custmers are there. Deserts are lovely, unusual for Malta.

We had the impression from studying the menu and examining the food served that all the dishes were from a catering supply catalogue. Maybe the vegetables were prepared in the Salvina kitchen.....maybe. Everything else came out of the freezer and although good quality it disappointed our expectations.
We were greeted, seated and then left for ten minutes - then the waiter expressed surprise that we might want an aperitif while studying the menu. Service was assisted by the genial 'mine host' appearing out of the kitchen and the plates (hot) and food were delivered in good time. as the last guests in the restaurant we were offered complimentary drinks before leaving.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff but before returning we would like to see some chef expertise employed. At that level of cost it shouldn't all come pre-prepared out of the freezer. If I entertained dinner guests at home I would not dream of passing off this sort of offering. So why should I pay a high price at a restaurant for unimaginative catering.
Nice place, good people but................

For anyone visiting Gozo you should visit this restaurant, the staff are friendly, the cooking is high quality and in comparison with other local restaurants, great value for money.
We definitely rate this as the best.

We choose the set menu 25 Euro p.p for 3 course.
Starter - garlic bread (4 slices) always good.
Entrees- Breaded mushrooms, lovely and very tasty. Salad underneath was very confused. 3 bean mix with lettuce, tomato, oilve, maybe some artichoke. Was fine to eat but didn't seem to relate. - White cheese Ravioli w tomato and basil. Herbs, think there was mint in it. slightly odd taste, but ok.
Mains - Rabbit stew - nice. - Chicken Kiev, really yummy. best meal of night.
Desserts - chocolate mousse - good. Creme caramel - overcooked, too eggy.

Overall cost with 4 beers 60 Euros. I would have expected slightly better after reading others reviews.
