A really interesting church, had lots of items from people who were cured after visiting it. Apparently, people who had been cured had returned from all over the world to leave an object or testimony of their cure in the church.

Well worth the visit up the hill. There are some lovely stories from people who have visited there to pray. A special place.

This huge church lies on its own on a hill, so it looks very impressive from the outside! The inside is also very nicely decorated. You need to wear trousers/shorts that cover your knees, and also your shoulders must be covered. You can borrow things (pieces of cloth, small blankets etc.) to cover yourself with just inside the church. A bus stops just outside the church.

What a place! Huge church with stunning interior. It's a shrine to the Virgin Mary who appeared here apparently. The photos and memorabilia that are testament to the miracles were incredible, and fascinating. My ten year old felt a bit creeped out by them though!! It's funny how the EU have made the roads perfect here but they are so potholy (excuse the pun)
Do visit, it's so tranquil.

wonderful Basilica from the outside and inside. A must see in Gozo and when you go there, make sure you wear decent clothes but worth visiting
