“Interesting for those who are interested”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

Reading some of the past reviews, I can understand why people might have been disappointed but with a good guide, theere's a lot to learn amongst the limestone ruins. Just trying to imagine what life was life for the lost builders of these temples is aweinspiring.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Maybe I was expecting too much, but was quite disappointed by our visit here. This was given a big build up in the guide books but maybe I should have done more research. Unless this is really something you are very much interested in or have lots of time, I wouldn't prioritise this.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

The site was packed, and with no disrespect intended, I was utterly disappointed. I have visited the temples on Malta, and was expecting a lot from these from the build up in the guide books, but a complete let down. I would recommend the temples at Hagar Qim on Malta, these are on the coastline, and have protection fro the elements too.

“Fascinating, incredibly old temple ruins”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

This place has UNESCO World Heritage listing for its great age, supposedly the oldest free-standing man made structure yet found in the world. It is quite impressive, but a relatively small site (ironic since it was believed to have been built by giants!) and currently being upgraded with a new entrance, visitor centre and viewing platform. No doubt these will improve the experience.

“Ggantija temples and Ramla Bay 5 mins from each other...”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

The temples are situated in a very reachable location wherever you are in Gozo, lots of signs directing to the site, also not far from Victoria/Ferry/Beach.
It's also amazing to think that these structures are older than the Egyptian pyramids, and a nice treat for tourists knowing you get to see 2 lots of temples. Very useful audio guide placed on front of temples, played in different languages to give necessary heritage information to whoever interested. The birds eye image of the ruins will always look familiar, as it has a very distinctive look about it, especially with 1 temple slightly bigger than the other. Very quiet when we visited in October, which is probably a blessing as more people end up covering up the story.
