“Trip-advisor listings are confusing!”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

This attraction is an amazing stone arch through which the sea flows (hence the azure window) located at the tiny settlement of Dwejra, which is also the site of the 'inland sea' and the Blue Hole or Grotto beloved of divers. Clear? Well check out how many different entries Tripadvisor has for these 'separate' places. It's quite easy to get there on the bus service (number 311) but actually it's a bit disappointing. There are many such arches around, and this one doesn't look likely to last much longer. The 'village' is tacky and seedy, apart from a small Gozo Glass outlet shop, and the shacks and seaside rubbish around the inland sea is quite a let down. Even the tunnel out to the sea proper turns out to be man made. We didn't stay long once we'd got our obligatory pix. Be warned, the public bus only comes once an hour and there can be quite a scrum to get on.

“Lovely scuba dive”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Great dive - drop into a small pool and then go down and through the window (large hole in the wall) to swim into the open sea. Blue blue water framed by the window. Bit of a scramble over the rocks to get there - tip shower in suit at car park before beginning walk down across the rocks.

“What a place!!!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

On a day trip to Gozo we stopped here for a swim and sunbathe. The views are amazing and the boat trips are great value for money and show you the other side of the cove. 100% worth a visit if you're in Malta

“100% worth visiting”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Totally unique place. Didn't take much of your time to observe it, but you definitely have to visit it if you are on Gozo.
We've been there with 2 y.o. and 3 m.o. (!) daughters and even took a boat for €3.5 to drive through the cave and look at the window from the sea side. Fantastic view. I think that are quite few places of the Earth where you can see massive beautiful natural wonders.

“Boat trip a must”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

Scrambled over rocks to see from one side but the boat trip available from the inland sea is a must to fully enjoy this natural beauty fully. No visitor to Gozo should miss this. As always easily reached by the excellent bus service. Plenty of refreshment facilities there. Shame about the rubbish left by visitors.
