“Amazing”
Reviewed August 8, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The church is an amazing place to stay with lots of room and very good facilities. The only slight drawback is the lack of a proper garden.

“a unique place to stay”
Reviewed June 1, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Everyone loved it! The building has bags of character for the moment you step through the red doors and up into the huge main chapel area. The kitchen is well equipped and there was plenty of room for all of us and 2 little ones.
We would definitely stay again if were looking for someone in the area.

“An amazing place ... With a difference”
Reviewed January 15, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

My wife booked a stay at the old church as part of my surprise 50th birthday celebrations -what a great location to kick back and enjoy some time away with friends.
The church has been tastefully restored and converted. It has a couple of great bedrooms, a fabulous farmhouse style kitchen and an enormous living area (the old chapel).
Craig was very accommodating with all the advance planning including travel arrangements, locations to eat out etc, and Adrian (Craig's local brother in law) was on hand for practical support.
If you want a quiet retreat or a stay away somewhere that's a bit quirky ... our daughter didn't want to leave, our friends loved it, and our parents thought it was great (surprise extended breakfast one morning) ... Then we can't recommend this more highly !

“Very Good”
Reviewed January 4, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Although it rained every day ( Dec 29 to Jan 3) there was enough to visit within 15 miles to more than satisfy. Bath and Wells were both brilliant.
The place was very warm even in December, we were 11 persons including children and there was more than adequate accommodation.
Only negative was indaquate hot water supply in kitchen, otherwise terrific.

“Beautiful Church Conversion”
Reviewed June 30, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The church is a fantastic - and unusual - place to stay in rural North Somerset. When you walk through the big church doors for the first time your jaw really does drop. The amazing stone hallway (complete with gargoyle) leads into the main living room which is a beautiful space for relaxing. The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated and the kitchen/diner is pleasant and well equipped. What really strikes you is the amazing quality of the conversion - the place retains all the features that make it an atmospheric church, but somehow manages to be a comfortable home as well.
Craig could not have been a more attentive owner. Thanks so much!

“So impressed, full of character, very well kitted out, warm!, great fun.”
Reviewed June 23, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Really loved this place and the only one in the area that fitted our group of 9 people at a reasonable price. Very well decorated and tastefully converted. Great heating system which made the whole place warm despite the lofty ceiling. Large farmhouse style kitchen diner. Beds very comfortable except the sofa bed. Mattresses on the floor for extra people were really comfortable. Old churchyard with gravestones creates an interesting surrounds.
Explored Wells cathedral and Cheddar gorge.
I would love to find a reason to return here!

Liked best: A very different location to the norm
Liked least: Holiday Lettings were slow in returning our deposit. I don't know why they even take it out of my account. I suspect they get interest on it!

“Incredible; beautiful building, great host, nice area - can't recommend highly enough!”
Reviewed June 1, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Thank you so much!! Craig was so accommodating with all of our requests, and made it really easy and relaxing, which is just what we wanted!
We had a great time, and it was fine for our friends with a three year old as well as everyone else. All the rooms were clean, comfy and had everything we needed, including the kitchen which had what we needed and was well stocked with equipment etc. Can't think of anything to improve, except maybe getting a bigger freezer (for ice)! Wifi/ heating/ parking/ hot water etc were all good so everyone was happy. There are some lovely places to walk nearby (and a shop) and its really quiet, I don't think we saw anyone else around!

Thank you - we'll be back (hopefully!)
