Took a walk, from the haven to Leigh on Solent and back with my lovely wife. Great views, beach looking amazing in the sunshine, and the walk is miserly on the flat. Lively pubs and tea room nearby. Well worth a visit.

Run by Hampshire County Council this is a lovely nature reserve by the sea. Lots of free parking along the front, but get there by around 10.30 am on nice days! The reserve is in two parts with a really good visitor centre that does good cakes and drinks after a hard days birding. There is usually something interesting to see. This visit we saw a female Golden Pheasant as well as Sandwich Terns and Mediterranean Gulls. Last visit I got some good pics of a Kingfisher. Even if the weather is a bit 'dodgy' it is worth a visit as there are around 8 good hides.

Plenty to see, no matter what your level of interest. Safe for attentive adults with children and always likely to throw up a rarer winged visitor for the Bill Oddie look a likes!

Breathtakingly fantastic! wholesum day out with the family.
We love coming here for a day out or quick walk down from Titchfield (as we live there). Lots of lovely places to visit.
Take a picnic flask and enjoy!!!
Great for dogs who love swimming or a family walk.

Well worth a visit,6 spoon bills there at the moment. One of the best bird reserves in the south. You never know what you will see From the usual inhabitants to the scare visitor. I see something different every time I go. Barry Duffin deserved his MBE for what he has achieved at the site. New hides and wonderful walks. Well done guys for making the Haven the place it is. Even has a tea rooms, though I think the prices are a bit high. Well recommended to birders.
