We spent 2 nights here. The huts are basic and have what you need. The food is ok but pricy.
We spent most of our time snorkelling over lots of recently dead coral, which we found heartbreaking. Also the area you could safely snorkel was small because fast speedboats of day trippers zoom about the water, regardless of swimmers! Scary!
There is so much rubbish and plastic waste in the water.
We walked south on the beach to the large village and found householders emptying their bins onto the shore and into the sea. So local children were swimming in the sea surrounded by used nappies, plastic , paint tins etc.
The cost is high- for example, it cost us the same to spend 2 nights here, with food, water and transfers included as it did to for the same at the 5* Mulu Marriot Resort.
It's a beautiful place, but ruined by people, staff cynical attitude and plastic waste.
