Description: Relaxed, easy dining is offered here at The Horseshoe Inns Bistro, a low key alternative to the sumptuous Bardoulets Restaurant, which has made The Horseshoe famous on the Scottish dining scene. Cosy and rustic, the Bistro is centered around a wood paneled main bar with small round tables edged by linen covered chairs, dark wood original beams overhead and a wood fired stove throwing out warmth just perfect for those cold Scottish winters. A regularly changing menu allows acclaimed chef Patrick Bardoulet to tackle favourite classics from throughout Europe but with his trademark creative twist, using excellent seasonal ingredients from the many excellent producers Scotland has to offer. A childrens menu is available throughout the day, with equally carefully created dishes introducing small gastronomes to the world of good food. Meanwhile, the bar stocks an array of excellent ales well suited to the casual dining approach offered by The Horseshoe Inn Bistro.

Have been several times, lovely food and friendly staff. Plenty there to chose for my wife who has some weird dietary requirements.

This is a real gem of a place, the most welcoming and delightfully furnished establishment I have dined in for years. The food was first class, the wine list was superb, the attentive service could not have been better.....and such a really nice family that own and run it. I will most certainly return.

The recent change of head chef has done nothing at all to detract from the outrageously delicious food offered up in this stylish and welcoming restaurant.

The food on offer is absolutely superb and the variety of wines available on the wine list is neither too great so as to confuse, neither too narrow so as to deny choice. Wines more commonly chosen by some are accompanied by those less frequently seen yet able to delight and present excitement.

I am a great believer in the adage 'you get what you pay for' and when visiting The Horseshoe that is certainly true. I paid for my taste buds to be ravaged and tickled with sensory delight, to marvel at the skill of the chef, to enjoy every sip of wine and to enjoy outstanding and unobtrusive service. And that is just what was offered up. When the bill arrived it was worth every penny and a delight to settle. I shall be heading back again soon.

Although the food and service was good the staff were emotionally detached and did not make any attempt to speak to our party even though there was not, another person in the restaurant .
I will Definately not go,,back due to,the fact out bill was £400 for"10" people and the staff couldn't have cared less.

Food very delicious INDEED, wine very nice, staff very attentive, knowlegeable and helpful. ( I am a vegetarian and my husband is on a gluten free diet.)
As simple as that, well worth a visit.
