We visited on a Saturday for a meal while visiting the local area. The food was delicious and well presented. The price was not expensive but not cheap. I had the salad for my first plate and the braised lamb in a sauce for my second course. Both were very tasty, especially the lamb. My husband had the chick pea and sausage first plate and was very complementary about it. With my strawberries for pudding I had real cream, not the artificial squirty stuff, which is the norm!
In fact the only issue we had was with the wine. Originally we chose red but we found it unsinkable with a strange aftertaste. The waitress claimed it was because it was an organic wine and locally produced, but having lived in the area for 5 years, I have never tasted such a poor wine. We produce our own wine organically, and I have never produced such a poor wine! I do not regard myself as an expert but I do know what wine of this region tastes like! We did get it changed for a rose which still had the unpleasant aftertaste but was at least drinkable!
The staff were keen to know that we had enjoyed our meal, but my advice to them would be to change their wine supplier. There are many good bodegas in the area to choose from.
