“Something A Little Different”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

My friend heard about this and suggested it to our tour guide who immediately called up the curator and arranged for it to be opened the next day for us!

Its a small installation in what used to be the local library until they ran out of space for books. Roni Horn a New York artist with a love for Iceland has created this deceptively simple installation with columns of water from 14 glaciers. The views partly distorted by water are interesting and attractive and photographing your friends looking fat, skinny and just plain weird is lots of fun. See if you can 'trap' your offspring in a tube.

“Very Cool!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

My brother had recommended we stop here. It is like no other museum with water from glaciers all over iceland. There is a great view of the city and you can take all kinds of great photos through the columns of water.

“Looked lovely but was closed!”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

It looked lovely through the huge glass window looking over the town and the tables and chairs with chess boards provided and the artwork looked like a nice place to spend time!

“Unique display of melted glacier ice”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

26 tubes of water that were obtained from melted ice from each of Iceland's 26 glaciers are presented as a unique modern art exhibit. Has to be seen to be appreciated.
